A windswept fantasy of sea and cool breeze is welcome relief after this week in the States. We felt a cool breeze blow through this morning, blessedly—now all I need is some rain! When I chose the color of this dress, I realized it was the desire for that cool breeze that the beautiful deep blue promised. Mami Jewell, as always, soothes my soul with her beautiful artistry, from the sensuously designed satin bodice (opening to a low cut back), romantically long sleeves ending in lace and large feathers scattered among the lace and satin of the skirt. Mami always pushes it one step farther—this time combining those elements in the skirt and pushing past a monochromatic construction in this beautiful gown.

I paired this with cool blue eyes from Audrey Lamede and a seagreen makeup from Tricky Boucher with a red lip I overlaid to match the red coral of AvaGardner Kungler’s beautifully constructed necklace from last year. My windswept hair comes courtesy of Truth Hawks. With is beautiful textures, deep color and great style, it’s a perfect top to this gorgeous look.
