The Pink Ribbon Fair, with all proceeds going to breast cancer research via the American Cancer Society/RFL, is running now through August 25, and as you can expect, everything is PINK.
With vendors made by the RFL team, you know that all proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society via Relay for Life in Second Life. And what a worthy cause—breast cancer research. And as cynical as some are about the “pink ribbon, “ in this case you know it’s all going where it’s supposed to.
Freya Olivieri has always been an ardent supporter of RFL in SL, and at this event she outdoes herself with this glorious pink dress with a beautifully drawn corseted bodice and a long lace, layered skirt.
The guy dancing with me is another whole story. FedoraJones Popstar is the avatar for the RL Fedora Jones, an entertainer, singer, comedian at times. To see him in SL and hear him sing is to witness a bundle of joy and energy released upon you in a sort of glitz that is fun and kitschy without being obnoxious. I saw him the other night after he had been up all day on about three hours of sleep and he still gave an energetic and entertaining performance. The guy has a great voice and a great sense of fun. AND he is not afraid to wear pink. (Looks mighty handsome in it too.) Check his schedule here and go see him!
