“For women, shoes are the most important. Good shoes take you good places.” ~ Seo Min Hyun
The news crashing the feeds and grid today is about the introduction of the new Gos Boutique line of shoes and feet. The main difference these will provide is an easier system for matching your skin to the shoes, making the very aggravating business of matching feet to the main skin almost effortless.
How does it work? Pretty simple—Gos has gathered the skin tones and settings for over 300 skins (and he will be adding more) so that he has done all the work for you. All you do is wear the HUD (show below). It will take you to a webpage (shown under the HUD) where your avatar is automagically registered with a password and where you can search for skins he has already matched and choose the correct skin. As you can see, he has already gathered quite a collection of well known skins.
Easy peasy. You click the skin you want. You sync the HUD, abracadabra, it shows up on your HUD. You click the HUD and it shows up on your shoes. Even ankle dorks like me can do it!

If your skin is not listed, you have a couple options—you can do a manual match using the hud, which uses a traditional spectrum matching grid with 17 base skin colors or you can register your desire for your skin to be matched on Gos’ blog here. He is working pretty busily on gathering more skins to be matched and most popular, of course, will get matched first, so even if you manage to match yours, register anyway.
You can store up to five skins in the hud, and the hud works from shoe to shoe with a simple sync. I honestly have not found it so easy to match skins, especially as I am particularly skin-matching deficient. The shoes are great because the database will never become obsolete—when someone comes out with a new skin, I can check and see if Gos has matched it yet and quickly click to match or send in a request.
And of course, the styles are amazingly gorgeous. I tried them with a variety of skins to show how the match comes out great every time. And oh man, how EASY!
