I took a stroll around Crestwick Island during a nice afternoon. This outfit from Hilly Haalan, made of pieces from her latest collection, show mesh used to its fashionable with a texture-change jacket belted over some terrific slacks. She includes the handbag with the outfit and several other pieces, so it’s quite a great buy. I paired it with Senzati0n Domenitzo’s shoes for Christmas on 34th Street, which keep showing up on my feet because they are sexy and fashionable (and giftable—hint hint, guys). Mea Carnell is selling this great statement jewelry set at Cosmopolitan Room with several variations on the necklace and bracelet for versatility.

My favorite jewelry today, however, are my earrings from AvaGardner Kungler, today’s gift in the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar. Ava actually offers this pair and another in gold (somewhat different) so you are getting two gifts from a very talented jewelry designer.

Inka Mexicola has come out with this beautful applier for LeLutka mesh heads, and I chose to wear it on the Karin head. I love the shading under the eyes and the luscious lips. I will say I tried the expressions on the head with this skin and they were not doing it for me. The perfect pout is the way to go. Tabata Jewell is offering this sleek full low bun at Hairology. I love the wisps of hair framing the face and the fullness of the style. She is the goddess who organizes most of it so give her some respect when you’re enjoying Hairology.

Prettiness–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 15

I wanted to find a beautiful fantasy area for a sort of sexy snow queen and her pet and the Winter Sim at Kalamata fit the bill perfectly. My snow queen is a sort of sexpot too, so lingerie from Mariska Simons for Christmas on 34th Street made complete sense. A combination of a mesh corset and appliers makes the outfit beautiful and elegant, and it’s giftable so you can give it to a loved one or friend for the holiday. It also comes with a complement of jewelry, including the lovely crown I am wearing.

I did not wear the other jewelry because I received this beautiful gift from Belle Roussel for the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar, a set that includes a necklace, bracelet and earrings. The set also includes a texture change HUD so switch up various parts of the jewelry to match your outfit. I chose the ruby and pink because I wanted it to stand out on in this look. I really like it because it’s a very versatile and simply elegant set that could go with many looks. And I love how the bracelet hangs around the wrist with the heart-shaped charms dangling. It’s a fine set of prettiness for your holiday.

Today is the last day of this round of Shiny Shabby and Marcopol Oh has this beautiful applier on sale at the event so run over there now to get it. It comes with several eye makeups and lipsticks in his singularly elegant style. My hair is Kavar Cleanslate’s gorgeous new ‘do for Collabor88, a face-framing style with a great low profile so one can wear hats or crowns.

To Tell the Truth

I remember when Truth Hawks was some back alley guy who would plop a wad of prims on your head for a couple hundred linden. Then he got to be a kind of underground sensation—people in the know shopped Truth. His store got overrun with hair—hair hair hair. He made it so quickly he grew out of the store. Forget the clothes and accessories—everyone wanted that hair. Now he’s a Big Deal with a store built by Barnesworth Anubis, massive traffic (more than Franks), and a huge rep. When people ask, “Where can I get hair?” the answer is always “Truth.” This is the thing: he’s still a nice guy. If I contact him (which I do seldom as I figure he’s busy), he always answers cheerfully and with <3s. Which just goes to show—nice guys CAN finish first.

The reason I share this is because Truth is opening a NEW sim on July 1 at 9 am slt, sharing space with several designer friends. With stores like Nardcotix, Curio, Mudhoney, League, Earthstones, Miel and Miamai, Truth is packing the sim with heavy hitters, and he could do this because HE IS A NICE GUY. How else could someone gather this caliber of designers?

Today’s look was made entirely from purchases on the new Truth District, which was built by the very charming Cory Edo. (She’s REALLY NICE too.) Big kudos to Sophia Harlow, who is doing all the grunt work for this. (Yes, she’s REALLY NICE.)

My dress is a fashionable and sexy piece from Milla Michinaga, who was the original daily look blogger (and my idol). From her blogging, she learned what needed to go into the best garments and she transferred that knowledge to her products. Exacting and fashionable, Milla always provides top notch stuff. (And she is SUPER NICE.)

My belt and sexy boots are courtesy of Gospel Voom, who makes high-quality shoes and accessories. Gos’ textures are unsurpassed and the versatility of his fat pack pieces are amazing (many color options on each piece of the item). Gos is .. UBER NICE. (And he is always up for a little randy repartee.)

My skin is one of Gala Phoenix’s newest releases. One of MANY. I saw all her new work and felt that sickness from eating too much candy—it’s all so delightful. I wore this particular skin because it’s cute but the name really appealed—Grouch. (I want no comments from you, Callie.) Gala’s skins have become.. luminous is the best word I can think of. I am so glad she has moved in this direction. And Gala? WICKEDLY NICE.

My eyes are from Hart Larsson, who is also selling skins on Truth’s sim. I love their brightness and opacity. Hart is a TRULY NICE man (and a great artist). My poses are from Katey Coppola, who is SASSILY NICE. My hair is Truth’s GIFT to us all. In fact, many of the designers are going to be offering gifts in celebration of the opening. Boxed In

Sometimes I just feel boxed in.

Especially when I have lingerie to model. I just don’t want to do the same boudoir chair, the same dark background thing. I hauled out this pose box, made by Katey Coppola, and went nuts. What’s sexier than a girl in her own gift box, especially when she is wearing new lingerie from the doyenne of lingerie, camille Yosuke. With its lace details, pretty floral pattern, it’s sexy but not vulgar. I especially like camille’s stockings—the gray look so silky. You know they need to be rolled off carefully when removed.

Tuli Asturias’ skin from The Dressing Room (no longer available—sorry—best get there while the gettin’s good), is a sexy way to show off this lingerie. And pretty little bowed slingbacks from Cerberus Noel complete this lovely look.
