Christmas is for little people…
I recently had the pleasure of beta testing the new Dwarfins for Judy Chestnut and Dante Spectre. With the advent of Christmas, it’s a perfect time to spend with little people—in this case the Dwarfins. What makes these little folks different from other breedables, I found out, besides their winsome looks is the interactivity they can have with other things you may rez, including trees, campfires and gardens. They also go fishing and brawl. It’s a lot of fun. Also, Judy and Dante are great folks–you will enjoy being in the community with them and their CS person, OlgaRockbeard. They keep things fun and entertaining.
You don’t just breed for visuals, as a result—you breed for traits like the ability to brawl or gain knowledge or mine. They do, of course, require sustenance and the food seems pretty reasonably priced. What they don’t need is a log or stump to be tied to or other silly things—just a ham hock or cookies and they are good to go. As a result, they are complex little people that stretch beyond the usual breedable, and that makes them more fun!
They have recently issued a set of holiday-themed Dwarfins, of course, so when I went to visit a family on the Dwarfins sim, they were arrayed in a variety of holiday looks as well as average. They acted in typical fashion, of course, eating the cookies….
And spontaneously flopping down for naps at my feet, like a bunch of toddlers. (It’s actually pretty charming when they nap.)
I am sure I have missed a billion other features of these darling creatures. I am not the best breeder on the grid—some people REALLY have this down pat. I enjoyed watching them play and do their activities but at no time did I have that freaky uncanny valley feeling they were humans. They were just cute little elves. (I say this in case you are wondering if it will creep you out to have little people wandering around.)
A quick nod to my wintery outfit: my sweater is Trill Zapatero’s offering in the Peace on Earth hunt—yes it’s FREE! My skirt is a cute one from Flexagons Villota and my boots were a find at the Candy Cane Fair, made by yingythingy (yes, that is the resident’s name—we won’t ask). A patterned neckwrap from Jon Ree keeps the chill out.
Finally, I show this luminous skin from sachi Vixen, which I will show again because it deserves attention. Sachi is back in the saddle and has been releasing skins left and right. Yay!
It’s a Dwarfins Holiday Special!
