A hot red dress and ankle boots and I am set to go out. Doc Eldritch’s new sexy look, made from 100% original mesh and fit tight to mesh bodies, is a hot look for dancing or other playmaking. Check out the wrinkles, the body shown through the fabric, the great texture. With a texture-change HUD, this dress has it all. I paired up Miffyhoi Rosca’s belted gloves for Shiny Shabby, another piece that includes a versatile texture-change HUD. Pixieplumb Flanagan is offering these snakeskin ankle boots as the donation item for the S.O.S. Festival, a fund-raiser to benefit Medicins Sans Frontieres/Doctors without Borders. GenesisLab has created a gorgeous new mesh head for the Shiny Shabby event and I am rather taken with this particular one with its beautiful open eyes and luscious lips. A square jawline adds a certain powerful beauty to the face shape and the appliers have a strong brow. GenesisLab is also offering add on makeups—both lipsticks and shadows, which I employed to amp up my look. Kavar Cleanslate has this dramatic glorious “hot” hair as one of his prizes in his Arcade gacha this round. You want drama? Kavar has you covered.

Radiohead came out with a new album this weekend, which was a great Mother’s Day gift for me as I am a big fan (though not as big a fan as this guy). My favorite so far on the album  is “Daydreaming,” though that could change. The title inspires my photos with an outfit I put together with several new pieces. First, the Mesh Body Addicts event is opening tomorrow, and Doc Eldritch, who is seriously old school SL and has been clothing avatars since almost the beginning of grid time, has created this darling top and sweater set with a HUD that allows you to switch colors and switch off the tank. It’s perfect for a spring walk. Then I get a little more clubby with a metallic mini skirt from Ariadna Garrigus that she just released and Bax Coen’s fabulous iconic metallic boots, remade to fit to different mesh bodies.

My gently wind-tossed waves are Bubbles Clawtooth’s contribution for this round of Collabor88, a beautiful casual asymmetric look. My skin is Umazuma Metaluna’s newest look for the Chapter Four, which I opted to wear on the Sarah head from Catwa Clip. I can’t seem to get over Uma’s gorgeous eyes, and the hazel color of this set compliments my look perfectly. My nails are Bcreative Wilde’s contribution to the Mesh Body Addicts event and my funky jewelry is Maxi Gossamer’s set for this round of Collabor88.   I am strolling at the So caL sim, a residential spot completely decorated by Beloved Ruby. I got my slave boy out (my male alt) and dressed him up for today’s photos because there were some great poses from Olaenka Chesnokov and Luna Jubilee and other things at ROMP I found, and I was loving my look. Start with this top from Annette Voight from ROMP, which I paired with a skirt from an outfit ValentinaEvangelista recently came out with and boots from Saki Galiazzo. Then I found these fishnet appliers from Bax to pull together the look. Mr. Alt has the sexy collar from Cheerno Destiny at ROMP and a harness that Baileymonster featured at ROMP a couple rounds ago and now has in her store. I think I made him into a right sexy pet.

My skin news for today is Dam1710’s applier for the Catwa Annie head, a beautiful east Asian look that went on beautifully and takes Catwa’s makeup options quite nicely. I was pleased with the look of the skin on the face and body and look forward to seeing more of David’s work. My hair is a short unisex cut from Dura that just topped this look perfectly and added a sexiness to my girl that went beyond bows and ringlets.

My friend Jaynine Scarborough is about to come out with an album that includes several gorgeous songs. Jaynine is a vocal teacher and performer in Berlin, who has, for years, also performed almost weekly in SL at her Thousand Rooms. If you have had the privilege of catching one of her weekly performances, you get to hear a beautiful woman’s voice, full of humor and earthiness and melody and sensuality. The song I link above is absolutely beautiful and the sentiment is perfect this season. Please click!!

I took a walk in a place called My Magic Winter to show off this darling coat from Larcoco Mathy for Shiny Shabby, which opens today. It includes a texture change HUD so you can switch up the sweater, buttons, and the detachable fur collar and cuffs. I wear it with Bax Coen’s newly redone knee-high boots, made specifically for different mesh bodies like the Maitreya Lara, the Bellezas and the Slinks.

Look closely and you can see today’s KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar gift, a pair of earrings custom-fashioned by RL jewelry artist, Bastchild Lotus. With a texture change HUD that allows variations on the metal, the charm and the beads, it’s a terrific gift! Look again and you can see around my neck the cute snowman Abraxxa Anatine has fashioned for the holiday with clickable texture change for the metal and scarf.

Umazuma Metaluna has made this gorgeous applier for the Catwa heads, which I am wearing on the Annie head. With several lip options, it’s a beautiful skin to match this head. (I am wearing it bare because I loved the look without lipstick for this outfit). Viking has made this great braid set for Hairology in several versions for most versatile wearing. My beautiful sexy fae is today’s fantasy, a winged queen with a sensuous look. Start with the lascivious pearl harness Sigifaust has made for this month’s Shiny Shabby. It was fully modifiable so I could shape it around my Maitreya body. I added Bax Coen’s up to there thigh high boots, this version made specifically for the Maitreya body, and a beautiful crown of jewels from Donatela Couturier to grace my butterfly queen. Pretty wings from artladyjas make her a butterfly.

My inspiration started with one of Umazuma Metaluna’s gorgeous appliers for the TAG Gacha with a butterfly stamped across the eyes and luscious purple lips. I have to say that Uma’s skins are gorgeously evocative on the Catwa Jessica head and they photo so beautifully. I can’t want for her to do more! I chose beautiful mesh eyes from Soleil Reid to echo the gold and purple in my outfit and I colored my hair from Shylah Honey, one of hers at the Fantasy Collective, with one of the 40 colors in their new HUD. What a fantasy!

If you use the Firestorm client, you would have to be blind not to see that it’s the fifth anniversary of the client, quite an auspicious occasion when Jessica Lyon spun the Phoenix viewer off from the original upstart Emerald viewer and then it morphed into the Firestorm viewer. Jessica has managed to imbue the project with kindness, helpfulness, and innovation with her calm and kind leadership.

Once again, the KittyCatS have made a commemorative kitten given out for free that has all the bells and whistles of the regulars ones, including breedability. Click this little darling and you can wear it on your shoulder, hold it in your arms, or cuddle with it. I ran down and picked one up, taking her along for the ride on my Haya 2015 from Turlaccor Mode. I had been noticing awesome photos by Darkley Aeon of these bikes on Flickr and so I got the chance to blog one myself (and will be showing more). Rideable and fun, the bikes also include many poses, effects and of course, exquisitely crafted details, as you can see here. Turlaccor is clearly a motorbike aficionado, with an eye for sexy speed. (All the poses you see me on the bike are unaltered poses included with the bike.)

Of course, I had to look the part and the first item that came to mind were Bax Coen’s smokin’ hot newly redone thigh high boots, which fit perfectly to the Maitreya mesh body. With materials, the metallic books in black are wickedly sexy, especially paired with mesh short shorts from Beanster Potato and a leather vest from Paul Lapointe and Bastchild Lotus. Paul and Bast also offer a great motorcycle helmet with all sorts of texture options, which I donned as I took my kitten for a ride. (Safety first, right?) My skin is sawsan Secretspy’s newest for the Designer Showcase, a lovely sexy look that comes complete with all sorts of mesh body appliers.

A Good Saturday Afternoon

There is nothing more wonderful than a lazy Saturday afternoon browsing books. I took a trip over to Saffronia’s Books after a stop at Café Rosewater, both on the Crestwick Island sim, to get a cup of coffee (large, soy milk, splenda) and browsed through the books. I am never really looking for anything in particular—just looking. I might end up with a book about knitting or a romance novel or even a book of poetry or I might just browse. Once in a while a good art book will catch my attention.

Of course, dressing chic on such occasions is in order, and I assembled several pieces from Shiny Shabby that fit the bill. First a cute shorts set from Giz Seorn with a texture change HUD for the belt and top so I can choose from one of six top colors and two belt colors to coordinate my look. Then I slipped on Cocoro Lemon’s fitted blazer over the top. The blazer comes in several colors and has the option to have a tank underneath. A chic necklace of emerald stones from AvaGardner Kungler and bangles from Jaycee Dover embellish my look. My low-caught ponytail is Mina Nakamura’s ‘do for Shiny Shabby, a beautiful look with strands tucked behind the ears, and cute poses (some of which I modified using my Avimote PoseMaker) from Anne Dakun, allow me to browse at leisure with a coffee in my hand.

The big news to this look, however, is the release of Bax Coen’s Regency boots, now fit for several mesh bodies and available at her store. Yay! Any oldbie in SL can tell you how Bax made the number one, most desired boot in SL for the longest time, and when mesh came along, Bax had to reconfigure her boots substantially to mesh and with the advent of mesh bodies, she has reconfigured them once again to fit mesh bodies. I found the boots fit my Maitreya body perfectly and looked fabulous. She offers them in several colors (including bright jewel tones) in leather, and then in suede and metallic.

Monicuzza Babenco has really gotten into making mesh head appliers. (She does wonderful ones for the Lelutka heads.) She has now come out with Omega appliers expressly made for the Logo heads, which allow for a variety of expressions. I also chose to use Thora Charron’s lashes with this head and Ikon Innovia’s mesh eyes. It’s a great time to experiment with the things you have in your inventory to see what will work with the mesh heads to create your own look. Of course, Monicuzza’s skin is gorgeous on this face and includes hair bases!

Whatever Is Whatever

It’s one of those weeks. Dashing back and forth, here and there. Half the time I don’t know if I am coming or going. The darling little bicycle carts Trace Osterham made for Arcade are a perfect metaphor for what’s going on with me. One way, Italian ice; the other, cotton candy. Wear it and ride off!

What else do you expect at the beginning of the summer? Flowers need to be planted (the windowboxes are in, by the way), all the classes have to be scheduled, a quick family trip planned, and SL12B is about to open! It’s easy to get around when you’re wearing something cute like this dress from Novery Lorakeet that she has at Shiny Shabby. With Bax Coen’s great little booties, now released in neutrals, it’s a lovely look, especially accessorized with Grazioso Alekseev’s gorgeous glasses (all prims—omg!) and one of Monica Outlander’s hair accessories for the Arcade.

I am wearing one of the LeLutka mesh heads with an applier from Sawsan Secretspy, who has seen fit to bring her artistry to the various faces of LeLutka. With a great hud that offers several eye makeup and lipstick options, the head works perfectly with Sawsan’s skin for the Maitreya body. A cute easy little ponytail from Ikira Frimon for Shiny Shabby and I am ready to go!

There’s always something special about a redhead. And if you think a redhead can’t wear pink, you’re decidedly wrong, especially if it’s this soft pink romper, one of several Poulet Koenkamp has made for On9. With a texture-change HUD offering three different colorways, each romper has its own individual flavor, this one having a romantic theme. I have accessorized with jewelry featuring an antique key and turquoise beads that Rucy Byron has made for Shiny Shabby, which will be opening May 20. I even wore the waist chain as a belt with this darling romper. And Bax Coen has come out with shiny new booties with materials, available in three fabulous metallic shades and sized for Slink AND Maitreya feet.

Monicuzza Babenco is also participating in Shiny Shabby this month with a gorgeous set of appliers for the LeLutka mesh heads. I wear them on the Aria head with the subtle shading and beautiful red brows she offers as an option. Once again, I had to adjust my eyes and lengthened my head for what I felt was the best aesthetic. Kavar Cleanslate recently came out with some lovely long hair he is offering in his mainstore including this gorgeous style with fringed bangs and his beautiful textures.

Spring Madness

I was looking over the photos on Flickr of SL and my own and decided it was time for a little more color and saturation.  I am tired of the haze, the mood lighting, the desaturated tones. It’s Spring! Time for a little madness! I started out with the new vest/hoodie/shirt combo from Paul Lapointe and Bastchild Lotus, which is chock full of so much choice and goodness, I didn’t know where to start first. Their great HUD allows choice of leather shade, metal tone, hoodie look (with Paul’s great prints or solid), hoodie liner (!), and t-shirt color. And the hoodie is an add-on so if you just want a t-shirt with vest or vest alone, you’re in business.

I matched them up with the shortest short shorts from Moonbubble Gothly, also with a wholly choice-filled texture-change HUD and Maxi Gossamer’s feathered necklace for Uber, also chock full of choices on her menu. Socks appliers in over 20 shades from Izzie Button and OMG boots (OMG being used as an adjective here) from Bax Coen with a texture-change choice for shade and accent. (I was clicking for a good hour trying to find a look that was as bold and sexy as I could make for a sunny Spring day between all the items.)

Thank goodness all I had to do was put on Umazuma Metaluna’s gorgeous skin for Skin Fair that she now has in her store. With the pink blush, the rich skin tone, and the gorgeous sultry features, it was just perfect, no clicking involved (except for the appliers). Ms. Bubbles Clawtooth has this sexy sensuous hair out at Fameshed this round and I put on her “Daring” color set because, well, what’s Spring without a little exuberance?
