I am guessing that Voltaire was suggesting in his quote something more about winning the hearts and minds of the populace but I think the suggested double meaning has great play for this set of photos, which I took at Corruption. (Thank you again for selling group membership to allow rezzing.)

Mariska Simon’s new lingerie is based on appliers, and Mariska has done a wonderful job of lining up seams and making the translation of image to seduction magic. I have tried on several lingerie appliers that have bad seams or simply don’t wow me, but Mariska’s is top notch from the straps to garter straps. And she attends to all the details, which is part of any good seduction, including the styling. The balconette bra barely gives a glimpse of the nipples and has an intriguing lace racer back. Platform show girl shoes from Senzati0n Domenitzo, which she is featuring at On9, and Maxi Gossamer’s dreamy drop of pearls and starburst earrings and ring for Collabor88 complete my look.

Sawsan Secretspy has recently release a slew of new skins for events and this lovely look is her featured item for Black Dot. It’s simply a Catwa applier without makeups included, but I took advantage of the lipstick colors Catwa includes in the HUD to tint up my lips. (The liner comes with the skin.) Bubbles Clawtooth’s lovely long locks for Collabor88 finishes my look with their elegant volume and her gorgeous textures.

La Rondine

~ Translated from “Ch’il bel sogno di Doretta” from La Rondine by Giacomo Puccini

“La Rondine” means “The Swallow” and is the name of an opera by Puccini. A friend said this look reminded him of that piece, so of course I investigated and found a beguiling Angela Gheorghiu singing the main part. That he put the idea of an opera to this gown makes complete sense. Mami Jewell has once again assembled a symphony of a dress, starting with a beautifully-textured mesh bodice with lace insets and then embellished with lace flexis and an artistic curved black piece. Wear the sculptural hat and waist piece or don’t. Eschew the flexis. You still have a gorgeous mesh gown.

I am wearing Sawsan Secretspy’s newest skin for Black Dot Event because it’s so elegant in makeup and facial features, it seemed a no-brainer for this beautiful look. My hair is Shylah Honey’s newest hair. Tommy Fairplay and Shylah Honey have decided to offer, on occasion, 2-for-1 hair so you get a rigged mesh hair like many other creators make AND you get another hair that includes a non-rigged mesh piece and flexis so you can choose to wear one or the other. I donned the flexi because the beautiful curls match the extravagance of Mami’s gown. Flexi hair is not for everyone but for those who like it, Damselfly’s is the best out there.
