I have been thinking a lot more about serious issues lately because of the elections in the US and the tension with the police. I can only heed Gandhi’s words and face things with hope. SL provides a little joy and beauty and good distraction from all that, especially when you have great creations to show like this zigzag dress from ValentinaEvangelista for Shiny Shabby. Valentina always follows her own style and seems to find a joy in creating original new pieces with great colors (check out these zigzags) and sexy features. This top drops down so I wore an applier from one of Mariska Simons’ lingerie sets. Funky platform shoes from TomClaney include a great color-change HUD for different elements of the shoes. Aikea Reiko has created a lovely set of jewelry for Epiphany.

Ele Brandi has made this gorgeous applier for the Catwa mesh heads for Shiny Shabby. I tinted up the lips with the handy makeup HUD and found a great look to go with Mirja Mills’ beautiful hair for Hair Fair 2016. Mirja is unfailingly generous in her talents and time for events like Hair Fair. She is offering five beautiful styles for this year’s Hair Fair and a set of jewelry as a gift for any comers.

Hats seem to be Mirja’s theme this year and each hair comes with a beautifully-styled hat with additional colors offered via the hair tinting HUDs. You can color the hat, flowers, and band separately to create a beautiful look. The long hair with a straw hat is a perfect look for summer while the gorgeous curly ‘do (which looks an awful lot like my RL hair when it dries right I realized), is a great throwback look to the 70s but wonderful for today too.

Mirja tried her hand at a great looking mesh in two hats. This hat has a pretty hydrangea covering a low-tied bun.

And this mesh hat includes a cheerful striped hair band with pretty blousy flowers and is tied in the back with another ribbon (see my close up).

Finally, Mirja could not keep out her braided hair for Hair Fair, and this is a darling, side-tied look below a pretty wavy hat.

Morning Ablutions

Every day I feel is a blessing from God. And I consider it a new beginning. Yeah, everything is beautiful. ~ Prince

A quiet morning is a good way to come out of sleep and into a peaceful day. I enjoyed this morning with Froukje Hoorenbeek’s new galvanized bathroom set for Shiny Shabby. Coupling the most cutting-edge PG and Adult animations with the loveliest fixtures on the market, Froukje’s bathroom set creates a spa in SL. Of course, you see me taking both a bath and a shower because I needed to show these beautiful pieces in action. Sheerpetal Roussel’s rustic cottage for Shiny Shabby is the perfect setting for retreat and peace.

One of the great parts of Shiny Shabby is that you can get both clothing and décor. Paco Pooley made a set of music-related planters for this month’s event, including this drum filled with flowers. Hanshan Instrid created a gacha of lovely nature-based pieces including the artwork you see on my walls and the bench beside the tub. Kunst Himmel also enjoyed a garden theme with planters and the little watering can you see. And Artizanmesh has created spring seedlings for my windows. Qo0op has blessedly made her rugs for Shiny Shabby modifiable. That’s really important to someone like me, who likes to color pieces. Who wants to live in an all gray environment?

Nicole Button is going crazy with appliers lately, enjoying the many mesh heads on the market and creating beautiful looks for them. This beautiful face with fine features and full luscious lips is available in her store with her updated body appliers. (Make sure you get the new ones for perfect match.) An updo from Kuranosuke Kamachi for Uber is a lovely look for my morning ablutions. And Mariska Simon’s lingerie appliers get me dressed to feel sexy all day.

To Seduce

I am guessing that Voltaire was suggesting in his quote something more about winning the hearts and minds of the populace but I think the suggested double meaning has great play for this set of photos, which I took at Corruption. (Thank you again for selling group membership to allow rezzing.)

Mariska Simon’s new lingerie is based on appliers, and Mariska has done a wonderful job of lining up seams and making the translation of image to seduction magic. I have tried on several lingerie appliers that have bad seams or simply don’t wow me, but Mariska’s is top notch from the straps to garter straps. And she attends to all the details, which is part of any good seduction, including the styling. The balconette bra barely gives a glimpse of the nipples and has an intriguing lace racer back. Platform show girl shoes from Senzati0n Domenitzo, which she is featuring at On9, and Maxi Gossamer’s dreamy drop of pearls and starburst earrings and ring for Collabor88 complete my look.

Sawsan Secretspy has recently release a slew of new skins for events and this lovely look is her featured item for Black Dot. It’s simply a Catwa applier without makeups included, but I took advantage of the lipstick colors Catwa includes in the HUD to tint up my lips. (The liner comes with the skin.) Bubbles Clawtooth’s lovely long locks for Collabor88 finishes my look with their elegant volume and her gorgeous textures.

Prettiness–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 15

I wanted to find a beautiful fantasy area for a sort of sexy snow queen and her pet and the Winter Sim at Kalamata fit the bill perfectly. My snow queen is a sort of sexpot too, so lingerie from Mariska Simons for Christmas on 34th Street made complete sense. A combination of a mesh corset and appliers makes the outfit beautiful and elegant, and it’s giftable so you can give it to a loved one or friend for the holiday. It also comes with a complement of jewelry, including the lovely crown I am wearing.

I did not wear the other jewelry because I received this beautiful gift from Belle Roussel for the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar, a set that includes a necklace, bracelet and earrings. The set also includes a texture change HUD so switch up various parts of the jewelry to match your outfit. I chose the ruby and pink because I wanted it to stand out on in this look. I really like it because it’s a very versatile and simply elegant set that could go with many looks. And I love how the bracelet hangs around the wrist with the heart-shaped charms dangling. It’s a fine set of prettiness for your holiday.

Today is the last day of this round of Shiny Shabby and Marcopol Oh has this beautiful applier on sale at the event so run over there now to get it. It comes with several eye makeups and lipsticks in his singularly elegant style. I applied it to the Maitreya body, wore the little bows, and boy, Santa’s going to want to treat me nice. With high heels from Glamistry, it’s a look destined to make me the best Mrs. Claus Santa ever did see.

With glossy red lips (sticky from my candy cane), it’s a sexy look, especially peeking from the sideswept hair from Shylah Honey that she is offering at this month’s Hairology. Infinity

Art in Hats, benefiting the American Diabetes Association, opened with a plethora of headwear for the stylish avatar, including this hat shaped in a bent lemniscate, which resembled to me, the infinity sign (∞). It’s an elegant, chic headpiece that combines well with the straps echoed in my dress and shoes. The dress, which is an attempted fit to the Maitreya body (close enough), is one of Mariska Simon’s newest, with a lace tied back and a great number of colors for your choice of sexy club wear. The glass platform heels from Azlyn Vaher include a HUD that allows the heart enclosed in the glass to be turned off or on and a sexy tied ankle.

Mea Carnell’s beautiful leather flowered necklace provides a soft point to another otherwise sort of extreme look. I applied Aida Ewing’s recently LeLutka applier release, chose her chic eye and lip makeup and then used Thora Charron’s great hairbase applier and ponytail to complete this very sleek, very chic look.

The lover who waits. She bathes, dresses, and listens to the soft music, expecting her lover. Her chosen lingerie is, of course, from Mariska Simons, the queen of lingerie in SL, who is now converting some of her older pieces and making all of her new pieces with appliers. This outfit, which includes appliers for every body you can imagine as well as Omega, is a case in point of sexiness combined with new technology. Paired with Darling Monday’s shoes for the Mix Event, it’s a bold but sexy look. Lounging on Cory Edo’s modernist furniture for Uber makes the wait more comfortable.

Her skin is a combo of Aleida Rhode’s newest skin available at her mainstore with appliers for everything but the kitchen sink with eyeshadows from Izzie Button and lipstick from Carrie Janick. I am kind of digging the ability to mix things up this way on the LeLutka mesh heads, though I will say it was a bigger challenge finding eyeshadows I liked. I loved these dark eyes from Eleri Catlyn for my waiting woman. I wish more creators made darker, rather than lighter, eyes. Thora Charron’s long wavy sexy new hair in a bold color is the crowning touch.

Can one love oneself too much? Like 20 million other bloggers, I got the Belleza mesh body updates and needed to take comparison photos to see the three versions of the body—Venus, Isis, and Freya. Tricky and Co. have given more in this update that anyone should deserve, all on his dime. (If you already bought the body, you don’t have to buy it again—think about that.) He has completely revamped the HUD, including a plethora of features that weren’t there before, including three boob types (not two), a better blending neck, massive numbers of alpha slices, the mesh nipples much more easily turned off and on, pointy nails, and of course, THREE bodies, which I compare below. There is, of course, the revised Venus in her original form, but also Isis with a rounder butt and nice perky boobs. Then there is Freya, with thicker, juicier thighs and butt and a fuller figure. And they include a special HUD for storing applied outfits. Bingo!

I applied away, of course, using the Omega Belleza one-time clicker to put the relay into the body and then wore the hud for this lingerie set from Mariska Simons and clicked it on. It worked perfectly on all three bodies. Mayhem Seetan’s almost avant garde and sky high shoes fit perfectly on the Belleza feet (and I think we will see more of the creators making Belleza shoes again—yay!). My hair is a new style from Kuranosuke Kamachi and of course, I am wearing one of Shyla Diggs’ newest skins.

I am posed on a pedestal from Dreamfantasia Nightmare for ROMP, which is opening July 3. The pedestal, seemingly innocuous with one avatar on it, actually contains a surprise for two, a surprise appropriate for ROMP.

Sway Dench is making me want to sit in my garden—for one last time. I am giving my parcel at Dream State to Jaynine Scarborough for Thousand Rooms. As Jaynine said, things change and come and go, which reminded me of this George Harrison/Beatle’s song. I put Sway’s Indian-influenced bench and candles down and relaxed in the sunshine, considering how life flows with me and without me. Of course, I had to do it as a sort of garden nymph in Mariska Simon’s pretty spring bra and panty set, which comes complete on appliers for Slink or Omega (which works great with Maitreya and the Omega translator). Sexy high heels with a bow at the ankle are new at Senzati0n Domenitzo’s store.

Umazuma Metaluna is offering a beautiful set of skins with gorgeously drawn, deep set eyes in a variety of makeups at the Arcade. This is a chance to get a buy-in on her unique and beautiful look at an inexpensive (and tradeable!) price. Bubbles Clawtooth is also offering one of her great looks at the Arcade for springtime beauty, this being one of the rares without bangs and with an essential hair color set. Psst… guess what’s coming soon. Skin Fair! Yep. So you’re gonna see a lot more of me “in the flesh,” as it were as I show off the fine aspects of the different skins being offered. Ergo, lingerie is in order, and Mariska Simons has come out with this fabulous and sexy little turquoise set, all on appliers in the many pieces you might want including garters, exposed demi bra, stockings, panties, thong. Appliers are included for every major mesh body part you need.

Maxi Gossamer has issued a romantic necklace and earrings for Collabor88, a secret love letter in a locket. I wonder who it’s from? I snuggled up in the bed that Cory Edo made for Fameshed, one of her fantastic pieces that includes seemingly a bazillion texture change options and poses. I rolled around in the soft texture-change sheets and loved every minute of it!

The news is, of course, skins, and I start with this fantastic skin from Toxxic Rhiannyr. I tripped across her store and I was excited to see a new-to-me skin maker with some fantastic work put into her skins. The thing I hear most from the Skinnies (as we call the folks in the Skin Addiction chat) is that the devil’s in the details, and Toxxic has taken care of those details. It shows on the body applier, on the hands, on the navel, breasts, and arms and legs—places where people often neglect to do the hard work to make the skin look good. And Toxxic’s face is sublime with well-place features and a lovely glow and beautiful, soft lips. I think I will be checking out more for Toxxic’s work in the future. This is a definite “find” at the Skin Fair this year.

I don’t want to wrap up without mentioning Constance Daehlie’s gorgeous eyes for Skin Fair, crystalline with tiny pupils and a very realistic reflection. My nails are also from Constance, these at Anybody, a gorgeous lacy pattern that offers a variety of looks. My big bright blue eyes go so beautifully with Truth Hawks’ new hair in blonde, a casual sexy cut that, as always, has his fabulous textures.
