My second car was a red car. It was kind of a piece of crap but I liked to imagine the color made it cooler than it was. They I went through a series of red cars because I was a kind of red car girl (Baby, I’m much too fast). When I put this outfit on from Onyx Leshelle for the Mesh Body Addicts Fair, I though it would go well with a car wash theme (body suit under short cut-offs) but my photos ended up being more pin-up than car wash. The outfit fits absolutely perfectly, of course, and the textures are amazing. The top and shorts both come with texture-change HUDs. I ran to Darling Monday’s sale to get a part of cute sandals to go with the outfit.

Brandon Papp makes the prettiest skins when he makes them. It’s not a full-time job for him so when he comes out with a new skin, it’s great news! I put this beautiful look on the LeLutka Lotte head and it was a gorgeous look. With magical eyes from Lonlysoule, I have a smouldering look just for a red car. I added the pretty side braid Kuranosuke Kamachi has made for the Enchantment event. Though it was made for “Dorothy” from the Wizard of Oz, it is quite versatile and sexy and looks marvelous here.

Ensnared by Hair

I got Queue Marlowe’s hair for Hair Fair the moment she finished, slapped it on my head and went “wow”! Once again, Queue made a splash at Hair Fair with three new unique styles combining mesh and flexi and curls and braids. As always, they come with Queue’s great textures on her texture-change HUD.

Queue gives us a taste of what she’s good at. First the curls, which are bouncy and twisty and voluminous. Combining mesh and flexi, she gives the ultimate in curly hair. Then she made a stylish short cut with curls tumbling around the face. Finally a fantasy braid, gathered across the face and wrapped around to drape over the shoulder.

Every single purchase kicks a bit to Wigs for Kids, so you’re not only getting ensnared by this hair but also giving to kids who need hair implants after medical conditions have made them lose their own. It’s a win-win proposition!

I have been steeping myself in wide-ranging East Asian culture lately—nothing specific or well-defined—just wide-ranging. I have been watching Korean dramas on crunchyroll.com and have recently picked up The Tale of Murasaki by Liza Dalby, which is a novel about Mirasaki Shikibu, a lady in the royal courts of Heian Japan and the writer of The Tale of Genji. Ladies at that time wrote romantic poetry—it was part of their education and part of being wooed during court romances. The Tale of Genji was incredibly popular in its time and still is considered a classic. It’s no surprise I am taking on an East Asian look.

It’s easily done with these coordinates from LeeZu Baxter, which she recently released. I love the sweetly ruffled, almost-Lolita top that turns into something more sexy at the midriff. But I have covered that midriff with LeeZu’s equally sexy Mia corset, an older piece that shows LeeZu’s ingenious styling and art. I pulled on stockings from the same set as the blouse, slipped on the gloves, and topped it all with the darling tassled hat.

What really cemented the look is this new skin from Brendon Papp with its clear geisha influence (though I wonder if it would also suit a Prince Poppycock look). The freckles would normally bother me but in this case they are charming and contribute to the Lolita look. My hair is a cute ponytail from as001 Littlething, who also has a nice line of other hair.

Finally boots with sweet large bows, which give that final flavor of Lolita to this look. Cerberus Noel has deep influence from current Japanese style but always has the necessary touch of sophistication that transcends the cutesiness of a lot of it.
