There’s nothing like a cozy, sexy bedroom for a woman in SL. This great bed with color change sheets, pillows, blanket and headboard from JianSL at ROMP has a bunch of sexy animations for bedroom fun. Sway Dench has made a bunch of furniture and accessories in black and white that are EXCLUSIVE for the Mix Event this month so if you want them, get over there (and check their HUD for other great buys).

My sexy corset, which is topless and pantless (which I *mostly* hid) is Iki Akira’s exclusive at ROMP and honestly, it fits great over the Belleza Isis mesh body with few alterations. Sexy bowed platforms from Nardya Rousselot are one of two pairs she is featuring at ROMP and they come in sizes to fit Slink, Maitreya AND Belleza.

I AM wearing the Belleza Isis mesh body. Can’t you tell from my cute little can peeking out from beneath my corset? For matchy match, I have Shyla Diggs’ newest version of Amelia, a lovely lush set of skins she did exclusively for the Mix Event. My long (and modest) wavy hair is Shylah Honey’s newest for the Mix Event, and it comes with all their fantastic colors!

The Cats are Back!

The cats are back—the KittyCatS, that is. As per the season, two new breeds have come out for Halloween—Scarecrows and Monster Mash. I personally like the monsters as they are more my speed but the scarecrows are winsome and darling. I think it’s the blinking eyeballs on the heads that grabbed my heart. Who can resist a big eyeball? (The one on my head, incidentally, is going to be a gift at KittyCatS when Callie gets it out. Check in a few days. And she will have a couple gifts at the Fright Fair as well.)

This new dress from Ariadna Garrigus comes with a texture-change HUD that gives you one of three darling designs. I preferred this pattern because it reflected the colors of the KittyCatS and has an autumnal look. My shoes are Kenadeecole’s great set at the Body Modification Expo and fit both Slink and Belleza feet (which is good because I am still wearing the Belleza Mesh body). They are sexy defined.

I found this darling skin from Inka Mexicola had an affinity for the hair Mina Nakamura just put out. Inka has put the skin out at the Candy Fair with a number of delightful candy-colored lip and brow colors, so they could make your sweet look shine. Mina has this great hair for the Mystic Realms Faire, perfect for an adventuring woman with its ragged ends and implied messiness. And my orange eyeball and blue horns look great with it! And it’s really all about the big eyeball.

Autumn Spell

An SL friend came to my town in RL this weekend, and I got to show him around a city that was sunny, warm and enjoying the last breaths of summer. He said, “This is gorgeous! I love it here!” Right after he left, the temperature dropped 25 degrees, the rain and clouds rolled in, and it was back to reality—winter’s a-comin’.

I spent the afternoon raking the first leaves and so this put me in an autumn state of mind. This cute knit dress from Nigella Nightfire reiterates that intent (especially as I model it in this old hunt gift I found in my inventory from Ayumi Cassini). The knit on the dress is, to my experienced knitter’s eye, a bit large but the pattern is terrific and the loose hang fit well over the Belleza body. I accented with a pretty choker from Maxi Gossamer (love being able to change the gem colors) and boots from Paul Lapointe and Bastchild Lotus.

I am sitting among fall-themed furniture from Sway Dench that has a candy theme, this being candy corn, for the Candy Fair, which is opening in a couple days. The pieces all have a plethora of poses for your sitting enjoyment and her sets are all coordinated to theme.

Uber opened yesterday and this gorgeous skin is one of Inka Mexicola’s offerings for that event, geared towards the 50 Shades fans. With beautifully lined eyes and an extra pack of deeply colored lipsticks also being offered at the event, the skin is as sexy as the event requires. My fluid waves are MissAllSunday Lemon’s contribution to the event, flowing and classically sexy. Looks like autumn is going to get another warm up if you visit Uber.

Crème Brûlée

“Some of us are crèmes brûlées, unfortunately in the presence of those who would rather have corn dogs. We can try to degenerate into corn dogs to make them happy, or we can just accept the fact that we were made for Paris!” ~ C. JoyBell C.

Crème brûlée—that sweet creamy confection with the hard outer shell—a better metaphor for some personalities than mushy strawberry shortcake or fluffy angel food cake or fussy soufflé. It’s an elegant dessert with a subtle reward of richness and sweetness. This look gives the same—with a cream colored dress, criss-crossing over the chest with tiered ruffles on the hips, it’s a sleek look from LeeZu Baxter.

Look closely and you can see how LeeZu uses the materials feature in the SL Viewer to make the dress have a more matte material, especially compared to the glossy leather handbag from Goucchi/Steffen Garcia and my strappy gold sandals from Gospel Voom (both available at Collabor88) and my glossy gold earrings from Anastazja Brimm. It’s this juxtaposition of textures—just like the hard carmelized top of crème brûlée is broken open to find a creamy custard—that makes this look pure confection.

Chiaki Xue has just come out with this side-swept curly short style. No one does shorter, curlier styles like Chiaki, and the textures and curls in the hair add a humanness and complexity that many hairs lack in SL. My skin is Umazuma Metaluna’s newest offering, a rich beautiful visage with an optional glow and gloss for the lips. I added eyeliner from Ekilem, which is being offered at TDR Fusion, to pop the eyes, which are chocolatey confection from Umazuma.
