Summer Breeze

Kaerri Rae has given us a little summer breeze, in the form of a pavilion, a little inside for the outside or a little outside for the inside in the form of a limited edition set she has made for Casa. The pavilion itself comes with the fireplace (already set), the inset cushioned seat, the furniture, plants and décor. I intentionally set the whole scene without any other decoration so you can see exactly what comes with this. And it’s limited edition—only 15 will be sold at Casa, so make your way there now.

I had a seat next to the talking parrot (seriously—he talks) to show you my great little plaid dress from Kinu Mayako that she is featuring at District 5. She actually has a tie-dyed version and a floral version too, but this one conveniently comes with a HUD so you can choose which plaid you like. My shoes are from Erratic Rain’s collection and the pink fit this look so well, I had to wear them.

TOmmy Fairplay put out a group gift at District 5 for women and men, and this is the women’s. It’s a casual updo, messy enough for breezes on an open pavilion but still elegant. My skin is one of Shyla Diggs’ newer ones in her typical gorgeous style, and I discovered Mavi Beck’s nail applier gacha at District 5 when I was poking around and lost a lot of change!

The Dinner Party

I’m having a dinner party. An intimate party for four. I have the table, the chairs, the plates and glasses and cutlery, and the space. Tobias Convair is offering this gorgeous modern set, loosely based on Corbusier’s ideas (like the table is TOTALLY Corbusier), at FaMESHed this month. I added one of Kayly Iali’s art pieces from Casa as décor and my room is complete.

Something casual, a bit eclectic, speaking to my ease at home but also a bit of formality. Well, that’s a lot of jumbo for “Look at this cute outfit I put together! Whee!” Start with this darling minidress from Azlyn Vaher that is all over the feeds because it’s going to be at District 5 in a few days. It comes with a great texture-change HUD that allows several variations in prints, sash color, ties and necklace. I loved clicking into a look I like. I paired it with leggings from Tatyana Ultsch and these darling mesh boots from Tesla Miles (that come in over a dozen color combos with a texture-change HUD as well).

My wonderful hair is from TOmmy Fairplay for Depraved Nation’s District 5 as well. When I first saw this one, I jumped up and down because it’s a sassy short ‘do for girls with a lot of personality and character. I was glad to see TOmmy mixed mesh and flexi to make the look great and it comes with the great texture-change HUD that Damselfly offers. My luminous skin is Shyla Diggs’ newest for Collabor88 with lovely, glowing makeup. I added one of the many lipstick tattoos to change up my look a bit.

Ready for my dinner party. Now, how to figure out how to make SL food taste better than styrofoam or plywood….

Kaerri Rae and Reven Rosca want you to enjoy your life in SL. They want you to enjoy the domesticity of SL and the fun of setting up house—over and over again. So they have set up shopping with some of the best home designers at Casa.

The premise is pretty simple: offer the best designers, demand all original work, avoid Walmart pricing and expect your clientele to enjoy the benefit of going to a sim and knowing everything they get is made from the pixel up with loving care.

Additionally, they intend to invite artists-in-residence to exhibit their art to further elevate the mood and the environment. For example, the artists-in-residence this month are Ohsoleomio Resident and Kayly Iali, both accomplished RL artists who have brought their work into SL. I could not resist taking my photo in front of this beautiful painting from Ohsoleomio, which I subsequently purchased for my own home.

They will also offer items exclusive to the Casa sim and limited edition items. For example, this fully furnished little house from Cain Maven and Kaerri Rae. It’s a study in living in a 512 X 512 parcel with beautiful design and charming, humorous elements scattered throughout. (Including a duck or two, per Cain’s on-going theme.)

I went over to the sim to take photos in this great new dress from Zaara Kohime that she is featuring at Uber. This is not my normal way of capturing Zaara but it works as well as her pieces can be worn around the grid and I always look fabulous. This maxi comes in several different colorways, including an ivory that would be perfect as a beach wedding dress (barefoot, flowers in the hair). Zaara combines the best of SL creation—great mesh work with beautiful textures and a fashionable, stylish vision.

I had to indulge in flowers in my hair and Diaxm is offering this hairband for The Dreaming Tree this round at half off. My hair is Mina Nakamura’s lovely offering for The Dressing Room Fusion, complete with a set of ombre shades. And my glorious skin is Shyla Diggs’ version for Uber. I am showing this one again… and again.
