They were playing this Radiohead song on the stream at Furillen so I thought it was a perfect title for this entry. I put together a sort of eclectic look this time, starting with Paul Lapointe’s and Bastchild Lotus’ boho crop top, which they have reconfigured to fit Slink and Maitreya bodies. I matched it with short ruffle tap pants from TheAnnex for The Project Se7en and bowed platform pumps from Darling Monday with optional stockings (that I opted to wear) from Darling Monday, also for The Project Se7en.

I piled on the jewelry. First I wore Maxi Gossamer’s chic and elegant necklace and earrings for Fameshed. They are delicate but still make a statement. My rings from Aikea Rieko are a perfect accompaniment to my look with their elaborate filigree and gems. You get a HUD that allows you to change up the colors of the separate gems, which I love.

I made a visit to the Citadel, a beautifully constructed sim, to enjoy the views and the interiors in my new dress from Azraellll, a 100% original mesh piece directly from Paris. I love the classiness of the dress, especially paired with sexy shoes from Senzati0n Domenitzo for Whore Couture that she is putting out March 15. A chic little bracelet from Aleida Rhode completes the look.

I wore Umazuma Metaluna’s applier for the Arcade, the rare, which comes without makeup, and I wanted to dress up the look so I chose eyeshadow from Alaska Metropolitan and lipstick from Mea Carnell, and I blended them to give a muted look. I love how they dressed up this beautiful face. Curly lush hair from Queue Marlowe completes the look, swept to the side with an additional flexi attachment.

Quietness Desired

Some people log on to SL to find a place of peace and quietness. Some wander the sims to seek peace and quiet. Lauren Bentham recently put together a new sim, Netherwood, that I recommend for that sense of peace and quiet in a crazy world. I dressed casually and enjoyed different spots on the sim. I wore a simple hoodie and top from Asia Rae, part of a unisex set she has created and paired lolly Carlberg’s gray jeans for Thrift Shop (half off) and Aleida Rhode’s latest flats for Cosmopolitan.

Sawsan Secretspy’s group gift skin brings a touch of spring to my look with pink lips and eyeshadow. The whole look was inspired by n0match’s darling hair with felted cap for Hairology. She includes texture change for the cap in several colors with the hair color HUD. A pretty little fantasy necklace by moonbubble Gothly for Fantasy Gacha Fair adds a little color to my look.

The jingle jangle of bells in this old Christmas song from my adolescence always reminds me of snow. Gotta love George Michael (and his hair—wow). So I went to snowy Loch Noble to shoot photos of my outfit, which is sort of an awesome look considering the pieces are priced so inexpensively. Well, first there is the jacket which is free in the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar. Sands Leavitt has generously offering this stunning red leather jacket with materials as his little gift to all the calendar clickers, and it comes in several sizes to fit different mesh bodies. Solange Cerveau is offering this itty bitty mini, made to fit several mesh bodies (and it does so on my Maitreya body like skin—not a single clip) for the Winter Gacha Festival. The chain and ornaments around the waist are the “rare” so you can push linden into that machine and always end up with a great prize because the skirt is so great! (And since it’s gacha, giftable. Get one for all your friends!) My awesome hat is Aleida Rhode’s gacha for the Gacha Garden at the Liaison Collaborative. The fur textures are so gorgeous and she has a big decorative safety pin. My long tall boots from Allie Munro are one of her featured pieces for FROST, which has opened. I love their shape and the textures and they are rock bottom priced!

Sawsan Secretspy released this lovely skin with several makeups at the Frozzen Fair. The lips are mostly pastel and the makeups a bit smokier, so the look is very sexy when you combine them together. My hair is naminaeko’s exclusive for Hairology. It comes with or without streaks and in a bunch of fantastic colors as well as “naturals.” I especially liked her “glitter” textures. The hair is low profile so it fit perfectly with a little resizing of Aleida’s hat and the textures looked fabulous.

Stopping by Woods–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 10

I went over to the lovely Garden of Whimsy and was reminded of Robert Frost’s poem about the deep dark woods. They have set up the sim so nicely without too much kitschy stuff and enough wonder that I enjoyed myself. I am wearing xxsaltandpepperxx’s cute chevron-patterned dress, a giftable look available at Christmas on 34th Street. I matched mokkinha’s ankle boots to the look. You can see a subtle chevron pattern in the boots.

Today’s featured gift is Aleida Rhode’s custom mesh earrings, which she is offering as the gift in the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar in three colors—silver, copper and onyx. With a decorative hanger, they are almost like ornaments but more delicate. My skin is one of Silent Alchemi’s lovely looks. I needed to take off a mesh head for a day and get some air, and with this glowing skin, I feel beautiful. I added lipstick from Synjari Myriam, also giftable at the Christmas on 34th Street. She offers each package with evening and daytime tones, which is clever. My short sassy hair is one of Leyla Flux’s great looks for Hairology, which opened today!

Raspberry-Filled Almond Torte Cookies

These cookies get a double-dose of almond flavor with a crunchy almond topping and almond extract in the frosting. ~ Cook’s Country

True to my word, another cookie recipe, and these are a bit of work but so good and beautiful! I may be sending a batch this year to Max and Polly in thanks because they just released the update for the Alex mesh head at LOGO with makeup and so much more. Yes, now you can apply Omega makeups AND Omega eyes! (I have more to say about that in a moment.) You can also tint the skin, inner eye (more important than you think), lashes, hair base and Omega makeups.

And now you can also fiddle around with expressions, using a typed command to evoke certain expressions (even one you have made yourself—so if you hate saying “lol” but prefer “laugh” it will go off at your command), set the timing on those expressions (for example if the smile seems insincerely short), and set a series of expressions animating in order (imagine doing a machinima where you could just have it go off in a sequence *wink*wink*). Max includes a very thorough explanation on the LOGO site (that I have linked through).

Omega makeups are included now, which is remarkable. However, makeup creators need to make sure they make makeups using the most up-to-date Omega scirpts—ones that find the zone of the eye versus the lip. (Older Omega scripts just lay over the whole surface layer.) That’s why I am able to show you Alaska Metropolitan’s great eye shadow but I can’t use her lipstick as well (though she has promised to update her Omega makeups soon). I encountered this same problem with a Catwa head when I tried to combine lipstick with blush. Contact your Omega makeup creator and ask them to upgrade!

I was also able to use one of the few Omega eye appliers to change the color of my eyes. I was so very very happy to be able to do this rather than fit in mesh eyes. The eyes that come with the head are already fit perfectly. I really hope eye creators start making Omega eyes for just this kind of application (thanks WeaponizedSugar for offering them on MP).

Max has also made it easier to include add-ons. Now they are boxed in an HUD, you click and it automagically adds the required scripts to your HUD. I was able to add the expressions expansion packs to my HUD that easily! He offers all his makeup add-ons this way too.

You see here Monicuzza Babenco’s beautifully freckled Beatrix for My Attic, which she has made for several mesh heads but which fits the Alex head so wonderfully. The freckles are gorgeous on the face (and also on her body applier, which is sold separately). Elikapeka Tiramisu’s gorgeous style for Shiny Shabby complements the look I assembled with other pieces from Shiny Shabby including Giz Seorn’s brilliant sheepskin coat over a knit cardigan (a wonderful combination of great textures and mesh with a trendy silhouette) and Thetra Blackheart’s multi-textured jeans. Aleida Rhode’s beautifully-made 100% original mesh (I know because I saw the models) include a great texture change hud for parts of the boot and can be worn without mesh feet so you don’t have to worry about fitting.

Art in Hats, benefiting the American Diabetes Association, opened with a plethora of headwear for the stylish avatar, including this hat shaped in a bent lemniscate, which resembled to me, the infinity sign (∞). It’s an elegant, chic headpiece that combines well with the straps echoed in my dress and shoes. The dress, which is an attempted fit to the Maitreya body (close enough), is one of Mariska Simon’s newest, with a lace tied back and a great number of colors for your choice of sexy club wear. The glass platform heels from Azlyn Vaher include a HUD that allows the heart enclosed in the glass to be turned off or on and a sexy tied ankle.

Mea Carnell’s beautiful leather flowered necklace provides a soft point to another otherwise sort of extreme look. I applied Aida Ewing’s recently LeLutka applier release, chose her chic eye and lip makeup and then used Thora Charron’s great hairbase applier and ponytail to complete this very sleek, very chic look.

Oo! Welcome to your next ear worm! Adele just released her new song and of course, it’s stuck in my head. So I can’t think of another name for this blog or anything else that matter because of the song in my head. Grrr….

I visited Furillen again to take photos of my silver angel and her pups. I had started my look with Erratic Rain’s newest mesh dress in Silver, which had a beautiful sheen from the lights I used with the Lumipro and is perfectly fit to the Maitreya body. (You can rez—temporarily—at Fursillen. Taking these shots was a challenge as things kept getting returned as I lined other things up. But I prevailed!) Glamistry’s newest shoes were the perfect look for my angel, a platform mary jane with texture change HUD. And I wore GagaQueen’s darling bracelet from Shiny Shabby as accessory plus the magnificent and romantic wings I saw from AxsisThorn when I was doing the TAG Gacha rounds. (These are not a gacha—I just peeked in his store and was wowed.)

My skin is Aleida Rhode’s newest, which is an applier she made for the Catwa Jessica head. This is an original hand-drawn skin that comes with the applier for this specific head but she also has the Maitreya body applier, Omega body and head appliers and regular system skins. She also has a separate makeup HUD for the head, and the whole bundle is her exclusive at Shiny Shabby. Constance Daehlie made a set of very large irised eyes for the Pastel Gothic, and I thought a pair would suit this fantasy look. And Thora Charron just came out with this royal hair, full bodied and rich, with a gorgeously intricate separate fantasy crown you can wear that includes a color change HUD. With my greyhounds from Garvie Garzo at my side, I feel like a queen.

I took a trip over to Elysion to get a cup of coffee and listen to the debates on CNN. While I nervously sip my coffee, I am trying to calm myself by breathing in the calming atmosphere on the sim and enjoy the music on the stream. I assembled a cute look from recent events. Start with Sash Arabello’s stop for the Dressing Room Fusion, a great find available in three colors at a rock bottom price. Then my plaid leggings from Flutter Memel are one of many colors and patterns she has Collabor88. Sexy platform boots from Senzati0n Domenitzo give some sex appeal to the look while applier fingerless knit gloves from Alaska Metropolitan at Anybody are a very inexpensive accessory.

I topped one of Thora Charron’s newest hairs with Aleida Rhode’s gift for gentlemen at her sim. It includes a HUD that allows one of four plaid patterns across two parts of the hat for mix and match and it’s resizable so not just girls can wear it. A sexy choker from Kreao Kujisawa for Romp includes Open Collar scripts but has a sort of costume jewelry appeal that makes it look like a pretty necklace. Sawsan Secretspy has come out with another lovely skin, this one for the SWANK event, and I reddened my lips with a deep red from Constance Daehlie’s makeups at AnyBody.

As the whole grid universe knows, Siddean Munro came out with a mesh body for men, so of course, I dragged my alt out and got him set up with a body and a smokin’ skin from Reishiprophet. Of course, then I had to show him off a bit, so staged these photos at Elysion and dressed up for a romantic interlude—with myself. Of course, I had to be sexy as all get out so I donned the new lingerie from Erratic Rain for Collabor88, fitted perfectly to the Maitreya mesh body with hardly a pixel between me and its sexy leather. Since it includes cuffs and a gold chain harness, I didn’t need jewelry but these new shoes from Senzati0n Domenitzo were a perfect match with their single buckle and stiletto heels.

Aleida Rhode will be coming out with a new skin soon and allowed me a preview, which I wore and fell in love with.
