Evie’s Closet at Fashion for Life

Evangeline Miles talent and skills soar in SL with the creation of her beautiful fantasy and evening wear. With gossamer materials floating about the avatar in an etherial dream, her dresses take you past evening wear to fantasy.

With her delicate textures and expert prim use, both flexi and sculpty, Evangeline raises the standard for fantasy wear in SL. Using bright and pale colors both, Evangeline lends a richness and depth to each item she makes. The woman who wears Evangeline’s work feels beautiful and royal but not like an overdone princess.

Evangeline decided to be a sim sponsor for Fashion for Life because she knew positively that 100% of the funds received for her donation were going directly to the American Cancer Society through no intermediary. She was delighted by the sims, especially Arbus, designed and built by Dream Resistance. She was also thrilled to find the sims were graphically low lag and fun to walk around.

With her beautiful vision and artistry, Evangeline’s work has contributed greatly to Fashion for Life.

Lift Me Up

Rain, rain on my face
It hasn’t stopped raining for days

We have all seen the devastation of flooding happening around the world. This has been one of the wettest years on record, and now Brisbane and much of Queensland are seeing the effects of too much water. Sanura Sakai has stepped up to run the Extend a Helping Hand market, wherein a majority of the income raised from sales of content goes to the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal.

I have had my head in spreadsheets and logs while I prepare for another charitable event (more soon) but I did take time to run over to the market and found these lovely items. First this absolutely amazing dress from Evangeline Miles. With its sculpted bodice (that is not so proportionally weird I can’t wear it) and its beautifully polka dotted layers, this is a wonderful way to give to the Appeal and walk away with a great buy.

My jewelry is also sold at the market, made by Lola79 Hienrichs. In the very inexpensive set, you receive this set and another with more black and white than lilac and white. I couldn’t help but feature this dress with a skin equal to its beauty from Nena Janus, and a great updo from Truth Hawks.

Finally, under my dress (really) are these darling boots from Siddean Munro. They are must haves. I love the little frog peeking out from the top, hiding from the rain (though I really hope the Queenslanders can find relief soon).

Precious Purple

After all the reds and greens, golds and silvers and blues, I am feeling like seeing a little purple.

Evangeline Miles makes very beautiful, very exquisite dresses for fae and humans alike. With their elaborate textures, feminine shapes, and fantastic motifs, how can a woman NOT feel so pretty in a dress like this? Note the absolutely perfectly rendered embroidery on the bodice, the carefully constructed belt, the attention to the details of the sleeves and the beautiful choice of colors.

I accompany it with a skin from Mallory Cowen. For the longest time, I was a Raq girl (before Laqroki). It was my only skin for a long time and I was reluctant to tell anyone what I wore. Mallory’s skills have only increased as  she’s perfected her skins. With their luster, sensuous lips, and beautifully framed eyes (and eyebrows), they are a gorgeous alternative in the overburnished world of skins.
