Sunday Afternoon

Sunday Afternoon

A Sunday well-spent brings a week of content.

Sunday Afternoon

It’s a lazy day in my household, made doubly so because it’s Mother’s Day so all my normal cooking and cleaning is off my hands. I bought a new book on Kindle (“The Golem and the Jinni”), did some online work, enjoyed a fine dessert of fruit and whipped cream and chocolate sauce and chocolate chips made up by my son, and generally lazed around.

Even when it’s a lazy Sunday afternoon in SL, I have to dress fashionably and Paul Lapointe and Bastchild Lotus have made this ridiculously easy. Start with the mesh boho top Bastchild Lotus made (yes, she modeled this one) with Paul’s amazing textures and scads of options available via their handy texture-change HUD (not just solids but also prints). Buy the top, wear it over and over by switching elements out.

Then there are the great boyfriend jeans from Paul with their own texture-change hud that allows you to choose the denim color, buckle texture and belt leather texture. Put the two together and you have infinite possibilities.

So really it all comes down to how you accessorize. I found the necklace and earrings ridiculously inexpensively offered by hadarah Steamer (along with other pieces—I admit I went a little crazy). My shoes, one of Maxi Gossamer’s offerings for Collabor88, have color change for the gems and the leather. Throw in neon nails from Giela Delpaso and it’s all matchy-matchy in a nice way.

Sunday Afternoon

My leisurely furniture from Sway Dench that she is featuring at The Men’s Dept is named after one of SL’s most dashing gentlemen, Stephen Venkmen. I have known Stephen for some time now, and I will attest he is as kind and decent up close as it would seem. The furniture includes a mix of unisex and definitely masculine poses plus some sweet couples poses. (I didn’t test the adult version, natch). And the signed baseball on the shelf is a cute touch.

My glowing natural skin is evidence of Shyla Diggs’ skill with Tricky Boucher’s palette. I love the blush of the skin, the sexy but not overdone make-up and the proportionate coloring through the face. My updo is one of Carina Larsen’s newest hairstyles with a texture change band holding my hair back. It’s sleek made casual and provides versatility for many different looks.
