Call it magic
Call it true

When I’m with you

Magic

The sun outside seems like magic after such a long winter. Now if it would just warm up. I don’t care really—gotta show some leg and with this mini from GraceHaddington I can do just that. Grace is featuring this at DOPE Fashion Week, which is ending soon so get down there to find some sexy and elegant urban fashions. (Found my darling earrings from Adrianne Stormcrow there cheap.) Grace, as always, includes a texture-change HUD and I was able to choose the top and skirt separately. And the price is right! Paired with absolutely sexy slingbacks from Eku Zhong and a handbag from Grace, also with texture-change HUD, I am ready to step out and enjoy magic!

Magic

The real magic is this gorgeous skin from Steffi Villota that I got a few weeks back and am finally showing. I love the elegance of Steffi’s skins, the gentle blush and lovely features. She includes colorable layers that allow you to make your own makeup. In this case I made a pretty pink lip and I have blue shadow, which you can only partially see through Hays Uriza’s texture change glasses. Click on the glasses and find a variety of lens translucencies and tints to customize your look. Finally, find this chic and short ‘do from Mirja Mills, which looks great on men (well devastatingly sexy, actually) and short and sassy on women. And once again, like magic that I look great!

Magic

Wanna fall
I fall so far
I wanna fall
I fall so hard
And I call it magic
And I call it true
I call it magic

Clever

The 100 Block is still going on and there are some drop dead sexy things, including Kehl Razor’s dress/top with its great texture change HUD. It comes in a solid, which I show here, and with an illustrated front and what makes it so dang sexy are the slashes through the fabric, the little ties at the side and sleeves (which can be color-changed separately from the top), and the slinky shape which is only possible in mesh. He hit the critical length to make this sexy alone (just barely covers the bottom) or great with pants. I had to wear it with Eboni Khan’s 21 Shoes exclusive boots, which will be off sale in a couple hours, so GO get them ASAP.

Clever

I always feel very sexy in skins from Shyla Diggs and Tricky Boucher. Shyla has a great sense of makeup colors and shading so that the skin comes off as sophisticated and classy. My tousled hair from Mirja Mills is her latest and comes with her special texture-change HUD with her lush delicious textures.

Rogan Diesel has come out with this sexy pose chaise at the Pose Fair 2014. Rogan has a lot of ideas about what makes a lady sexy, and he expresses them perfectly with his gorgeous pose props. The beautiful lines of the chair would make it ideal as a piece of furniture in a boudoir but the poses make it something fantastic and make me look clever as the Devil.

Haiku Found

Found Haiku

a bigger mistake.

Found Haiku

April is National Poetry Month and my regular readers know that this will be greeted with happiness in my corner because I love poetry. Poetry, to many, seems inaccessible, obtuse, emotional or rigid, which is a shame because it’s anything but. It’s a fool’s game for sure—being a poet is no way to make a living for most people but then being a ballet dancer is a rare occupation as is being a rocket scientist.

The truth is poetry can be found everywhere, as the New York Times proves with their Serendipitous Haiku. Ostensibly it’s a computer program that scans the articles published on their website and finds 17 syllable sentences that can be broken into the traditional 5/7/5 syllable line with an emphasis on the potential of a deliverable moment of enlightenment. Some of the haiku the computer finds certainly do this as show by my examples.

I bring up the haiku form to illustrate, of course, the Japan Fair 2014, which is its own found poem. The build is lovely, the content sold at the fair is gorgeous, and the intentions are good—to gather Japanese creators in SL to donate a portion of their proceeds to Shelter Box, a charity in the UK which delivers boxes with tents and other aid to displaced families who need temporary shelter. The build was peaceful and lovely to walk around, a testament to the kind gesture of the fair.

Found Haiku

Take, for example, this gorgeous dress from my friend Saya Littlething. Saya has made a number of items for Japan Fair, all of them donating 100% to Shelter Box in their sales. This kimono-print dress, made from a mesh sheath joined with a flexi skirt and tied with a large kimono-influenced bow, can take you from Japan to a formal ballroom in seconds. I found my sexy geta-inspired heels from Rei2 Aya, made for the Slink high feet, at the Fair as well, with a portion of their sales donated to Shelter Box.

My windblown hair is offered by Rika Oyen, who has several hair styles at the fair, and my gorgeous headpiece, embellished with flowers, painted porcelain, ribbons and a tassle, is Gin Fhang’s generous donation for Shelter Box. My collar, which I tinted, is a gift to visitors at Hays Uriza’s store, which features gorgeous jewelry.

I wanted to show this look with Inka Mexicola’s porcelain skin, which she is selling at Kustom9. I find the the heavy defined brows and deep expressive eyes absolutely beautiful and the perfect deep red bow lips and blush to add the sort of beautiful color and bloom this found haiku of a look needs.

My love for him poured
over me, a thick honey
of adoration.

Do Boys Make Passes…

at girls who wear glasses? I think a lot of men here would answer “Yes!” considering the number of brainy women in SL. If your girl is one of these kinds of girls, the kind who keeps “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” and a stack of O’Reilly books near her bedside, who quotes Anais Nin AND Dr. Dobbs, who can purr Neruda and Ruby in your ear, then this is the one for her.

Do Boys Make Passes...

First we have this delicious ensemble from Shai Delacroix, which includes elements of everything your favorite geek girl probably likes. First, with its brocaded fabrics, sweet lacy top on the panties and retro thigh highs, the outfit is imbued with romance.

Do Boys Make Passes...

Then there are the low cut back and panties sliding up the derriere—definitely sexy. Finally, with the ties wrapped around the neck and upper arms, tied around her waist and hips, there is a bit of bondage in the outfit, and honestly, geek girls all enjoy a touch of kink.

Do Boys Make Passes...

These sweet little shoes from Hays Uriza should make every thinking girl happy. With their twist on Mary Jane styling, from the criss-crossed straps to the platform sole to the shiny vinyl texture, they suit her need for a bit of practicality combined with clumsy girliness mixed with a naughty touch of latex.

Do Boys Make Passes...

How wrong it is for a woman to expect the man to build the world she wants, rather than to create it herself. ~ Anais Nin
