How Far

I took a trip down to Furillen in my traveling outfit, a set of comfortable and subtly sexy pieces from ValentinaEvangelista. The top is a fit-to-form body suit, perfectly made to the Maitreya body. She has matched it with low-slung trousers, barely held up with a belt, quite probably my boyfriend’s pants that I put on as I slipped out the door. With a great texture and wonderfully rendered folds, the pants fit a bit loosely. Thank goodness for the belt. I accessorized with a great tie from Kitt Ragu (I have wanted one like this for a long time!) I love how Kitt always sizes to men and women—it allows a lot of fashion flexibility! Darling oxfords from roscee that include a texture-change HUD so I could mess with colors to match up and a cute little travel case from Zen Zarco finishes me.

I resized Johnfrancis Laville’s porkpie hat to fit. If you ever check out his store, the man is SL’s milliner for guys, with a variety of amazing mesh hats to complete any look, and most include a resize script. My lovely locks are JourdanMcMillan’s contribution to Hairology this month, and I chose her lightest blond with roots. I spent some time deciding what brow color to choose from Deesselle Destiny’s lovely Catwa applier skin. With freckles scattered over the cheeks, a thick defined brow and a pretty nose, I accentuated my eyes with liner on the applier and slicked on a red lip from Catwa’s HUD. Finally, thanks Senna, for making me find the look!

It seems all there is for sims lately are winter scenes and all I see outside is a winter scene. It was brutally cold today, so I put on a sweater in RL and found this very cozy one that Kitt Ragu is releasing at Shiny Shabby (opening the 20th). Made for both men and women, the sweater comes in several colors with an underlying shirt if you would like it. I forewent that version and put on a little scarf I found in my inventory from xxRyvenxx and found great little low-cost boots from Senzati0n Domenitzo at The Dressing Room. My jeans were released by Paul Lapointe a bit ago but work so well with the Maitreya body and so many different looks. They come with a brilliant texture change HUD allow different jean colors, pockets and belt and metal colors, though I went with the standard classic color and look.

OK, I admit I stole the hat from Karla Marama’s hair at Hairology. I will find a way to show the actual hair but it conflicted with the sweater, so I opted for Carina Larsen’s hair for the upcoming Shiny Shabby instead. It’s a cute short cut with fringy bangs and a lot of personality. I have once again opted to try an Omega applier on the GA:EG Adriana head, this time putting on Aida Ewing’s skin applier, which she made for the Logo heads but is on an Omega applier so can be used on this head too. I have tested a few Logo appliers and the skin makers, of course, want to have the skin suit the face shape, so when the skin is put on this shape, it can look measurably different and sometimes quite “off.” Aida’s skin looked pretty good and when I applied the add-on makeups, I think the result was quite nice, especially with Aida’s pretty freckles.

‘Twas…–KittyCatS &Friends Advent Calendar, Day 24

‘Twas the night before Christmas….

It’s actually the day before Christmas and the final day of the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar, and you who are fans knows what that means: a beautiful exclusive KittyCat will be given as a gift to all clickers. The lovely Snow Cap is a pretty kitty, and you can birth it like any KittyCat and breed as well.

My wonderful partner designed the coat on the KittyCat and this is what she wrote:

“We love using snowflakes as a way to decorate our winter gift cats. They remind us of the uniqueness of each individual who is in our Second Life Community. Every person we meet, like every snowflake nature makes, is completely unique!

Each snowflake on your special Kitty represents each person you will meet in your life. Every one is different, special, and one of a kind.

You will notice that there is one snowflake on the cat’s body which has a diamond on it. This is the reminder that in a world of snowstorms where you can feel like you are one of many, YOU are unique. The little snowflake in the cat’s ear also has a diamond on it, as a reminder to listen through the noise of life for those special messages that are all around is. And finally, the cat’s eyes shine like diamonds too, a reminder to see the good in each person, and offer them our best, remembering that they too are special.”

I brought her to the Winter Sim at Kalamata for a few photos in my own snow-white outfit. I started with this beautiful knit dress from Ilaya Allen for FROST that comes in several colors and *feels* soft and luxe. Then I added the fur bolero from Kit Ragu for Shiny Shabby, which also comes in several colors as just as a shell as you see here or with a sweater beneath that includes a texture-change HUD. Darling little mittens from PetiteAnaiis Eleonara for FROST include a special body alpha that you wear to allow your arms to show so you can remove your hands (when you are wearing a mesh body). Senzati0n Domenitzo’s thigh high boots are a sexy winter delight for this outfit and also available at Shiny Shabby.

Otyebis has made a lovely skin for Shiny Shabby that can be used on several mesh heads. I tried it on the Logo Alex and was not pleased with the outcome but on the Catwa Annie head, it’s very pretty. I spent a lot of time trying different makeups with it but opted to go with the lipstick in Catwa Clip’s HUD, dialing down the blend a bit. Empyreanforge has made a lovely seasonal necklace for FROST in both gold and silver, a festive look full of charms. Mina Nakamura has this sexy tumble of waves available at Shiny Shabby this round, available in two lengths in the box and with her great textures.
