Gee Whiz—KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 2

Gee whiz. It’s Christmas! I have started making massive numbers of cookies and putting them in the freezer (this is my new tradition). Last year I made over 500 cookies. My son and I love baking together and the putzing, making little balls of dough and decorating, is soothing.

Snow has already fallen here several times and it’s pretty chilly so this special gift from TOmmy Fairplay and Shylah Honey for the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar is welcome. TOmmy made two hairs that you get—one with the darker hat (in the main photos) and one with the lighter (in the top photo). It’s non-rigged so you can resize it (as I did) and comes as a fatpack of HUDs so you get all the colors Damselfly offers. This gorgeous gift can be yours starting today. The KittyCatS community members have also made some gifts “for the cats” as a special treat in the calendar. If you don’t have a KittyCat, don’t worry, you will on the 24th!

To match, I put together a casual outfit from several new pieces. First is a great sweater over demin shirt from beanster Potato that comes with one of beanster’s great texture change HUDs for the sweater. My jeans are Datrip Blackbart’s great offer for Winter Trend, available with a HUD that lets you change the texture on the legwarmers. I fit on boots from Senzati0n Domenitzo for the Frozzen Fair that also include a texture-change HUD.

I got my lovely skin during the Skin Addiction Black Friday from Jade Glazner. The skin includes the Slink Physique AND Slink Hands and Feet appliers all on one HUD. (I had to clarify this.) Jade also offers a nail applier for next to nothing and a variety of lipsticks and eyeshadows as add-ons.

Arcade has opened, so the sim is packed and people are camming in to grab goodies. The nice thing about gacha items is that they are no copy, so perfect for stocking stuffing and a great way to “regift” the items you don’t want. I highly recommend the gacha from Cory Edo, which includes a variety of holiday decorations without a rare. I scattered them around me to add a little festivity to the scene. Gee whiz!

It’s that time of year ago! Yes indeed! The KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar is out and I have the pleasure of showing you all the amazing content they will be giving as a gift EVERY SINGLE DAY until Christmas. The final gift will be, of course, a special holiday KittyCat. (The gorgeous front of the calendar was made by my partner, Callie Cline, who doesn’t know this, but she will be designing all my holiday cards in the future!)

The rules of the calendar are as follows: one gift per avatar. One gift per day but you can gather gifts from previous days if the door has been opened. Calendars will be available at the KittyCatS Wonderland, the main store for KittyCatS AND this year, at the stores of the contributing designers!

The first gift is a beautiful jewelry set from Belle Roussel, made specifically for the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar. The “Hearts of Hope” set includes a necklace, charm bracelet and earrings. What you can’t see in my static photo is that each gem has an animated texture so the diamonds appear to catch the light without having to include bling or have materials shown and is very representative of Belle’s beautiful work. The set is bold and rich-looking and festive ornamentation for any dress-up you want to do this holiday season.

I show it with an elegant sheath from Zib Scaggs that I have had in my inventory forever, waiting for the perfect look, and this was it. With new shoes from BabyChampagne Sass, which I was able to adjust to fit my Belleza Venus body feet, and Shyla Diggs’ new skin for Uber, it’s a dressy look for the holidays. My simple décor is a wire tree from Sway Dench that comes as a wall hanging or floor model, with or without little photo frames and with a great texture change script that allows gold or silver or a combo, also available at Uber.
