More KittyCatS Advent Calendar Gifts!

There are more and more gifts coming out of the KittyCatS Advent Calendar that wow me. What an amazing gift of creativeness and generosity we are receiving this year from these creators! Thank you so much!

First is this darling gift from Cherelle Capra of Circa for Day 11, a gorgeous holiday fireplace with decor and pillows. The cushions have 11 animations each, different in each, and marshmallow roasting sticks. The fireplace has on/off on touch.

Carina Larsen of Amacci has provided this absolutely darling hair with a HUD for changing the colors of the hair and rose.

And for Day 20, Mami Jewell of Azul gives us this amazing dress in black and purple in mesh with flexis for your holiday parties. Mami has again outdone herself with her gorgeous textures.

ChloeElectra, the fabulous lady behind .alme, gives us this beautiful nail polish set in various silver looks (perfect to match just about everything you might wear this season) for Day 22.

KittyCats Advent Calendar

The KittyCatS Advent Calendar is up again this year with a lot of spectacular gifts for people!

Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea has this fabulous chair with single and couples poses for Day 1 and come back on Day 7 for the darling poinsettia from Kriss Lehmann of Botanical. Day 2 is a great snowglobe with poses from ZzoieZee for Zanze.

Day 3 features 2 gifts: a great set of sneakers with and without socks from Ansor Hoorenbeek of Hoorenbeek for both men and women and a gorgeous fireplace with working fire from Karthikeyan Engineer for Mesh India, including a log holder. (Again, note the poinsettia.)

Rolling Deep

I had my posse with me at the Furillen sim. We rode into town and then parked ourselves by the Airstream Serene has put out (from Wavie Haller—one of my favorites that he made). These “cRaZy lOVe” KittyCats are the other Love Collection pets KittyCats is offering this season and they too include a special animation in them where they will rez you a blanket and special poses so you can enjoy them with a friend. We rode in on my cycle from Turluccor Mode, a brilliant piece that includes all sorts of fun stuff for riding (lights, engine, turbo) and a huge set of poses and animations for single and couples. And the bike is pretty cute with the purple tank.

The main part of my outfit is, of course, the rockin’ aviator leather jacket from Paul Lapointe and Bastchild Lotus. As always, Paul has created a solid piece with great style, perfectly fit to the Maitreya body (and others). Bast’s HUD gives a ton of options in colors and textures. I especially liked the tank add-on options with some awesome t-shirt graphics. The jacket, tank and bra come as a complete package with a kazillion options for colors—it’s a very fat fatpack. My short skinny jeans are one of LiuMiwa’s pieces for Shiny Shabby, rolled at the ankle and perfect with Glamistry’s latest bootie, which also includes a texture change HUD for a ton of options. Keon Xenda’s poses show a male model but they were PERFECT for this set of photos (truly—I just positioned myself on the bike).

Deesselle Destiny made this sexy skin for the Catwa heads and I chose to dress it up with lipstick from the Catwa HUD and eyeliner from demi Placebo to make this hot tough girl look. I also got to try out Deesselle’s eyelashes for the Catwa head. (Kind of fun just applying eyelashes and not having to fit them into place!) A pretty necklace from Ors Quan for Shiny Shabby is a perfect piece of bling for this neckline. I love this haircut from Dubled, which is a gacha at Shiny Shabby. Frankly, you should get all of them because the shortened bangs are darling and the windblown curls are perfect for a girl who just got off her bike.

Love Birds

It is not only fine feathers that make fine birds. ~ Aesop

I walked out to the beach to find that it looked like a flock of lovebirds had taken nest in my palm trees. Oh wait. They purred and I realized they were KittyCats perched in my palms. KittyCatS recent release of LoveBirdS include a removable beak and crest and come with brightly colored feathers, made for Valentine’s Day but perfect to brighten up your spring after a long winter. Each KittyCat includes a special animation in them, where they will rez you a blanket and special poses so you can enjoy them with a friend.

I enjoyed the warm air in an outfit made of separates from the first anniversary Shiny Shabby. My top from evastika Aura is fitted for Maitreya bodies matched to denim shorts from Systi Cisse, also for Maitreya bodies. Cute bowed flats from Darling Monday come in several colors. A cute little diamond-studded watch from Bob for Shiny Shabby includes a HUD to change various parts of the watch.

Carina Larsen has made this cute and casual ponytail for Shiny Shabby with her great texture-change options. I am wearing Monicuzza Babenco’s gorgeous new applier for Shiny Shabby on the Catwa Annie mesh head in a warm tan. I found my palms at the RFL Home & Garden Expo from Cari McKeenan, who got them out late. The donation from purchase of the trees will go directly to ACS.

‘Twas…–KittyCatS &Friends Advent Calendar, Day 24

‘Twas the night before Christmas….

It’s actually the day before Christmas and the final day of the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar, and you who are fans knows what that means: a beautiful exclusive KittyCat will be given as a gift to all clickers. The lovely Snow Cap is a pretty kitty, and you can birth it like any KittyCat and breed as well.

My wonderful partner designed the coat on the KittyCat and this is what she wrote:

“We love using snowflakes as a way to decorate our winter gift cats. They remind us of the uniqueness of each individual who is in our Second Life Community. Every person we meet, like every snowflake nature makes, is completely unique!

Each snowflake on your special Kitty represents each person you will meet in your life. Every one is different, special, and one of a kind.

You will notice that there is one snowflake on the cat’s body which has a diamond on it. This is the reminder that in a world of snowstorms where you can feel like you are one of many, YOU are unique. The little snowflake in the cat’s ear also has a diamond on it, as a reminder to listen through the noise of life for those special messages that are all around is. And finally, the cat’s eyes shine like diamonds too, a reminder to see the good in each person, and offer them our best, remembering that they too are special.”

I brought her to the Winter Sim at Kalamata for a few photos in my own snow-white outfit. I started with this beautiful knit dress from Ilaya Allen for FROST that comes in several colors and *feels* soft and luxe. Then I added the fur bolero from Kit Ragu for Shiny Shabby, which also comes in several colors as just as a shell as you see here or with a sweater beneath that includes a texture-change HUD. Darling little mittens from PetiteAnaiis Eleonara for FROST include a special body alpha that you wear to allow your arms to show so you can remove your hands (when you are wearing a mesh body). Senzati0n Domenitzo’s thigh high boots are a sexy winter delight for this outfit and also available at Shiny Shabby.

Otyebis has made a lovely skin for Shiny Shabby that can be used on several mesh heads. I tried it on the Logo Alex and was not pleased with the outcome but on the Catwa Annie head, it’s very pretty. I spent a lot of time trying different makeups with it but opted to go with the lipstick in Catwa Clip’s HUD, dialing down the blend a bit. Empyreanforge has made a lovely seasonal necklace for FROST in both gold and silver, a festive look full of charms. Mina Nakamura has this sexy tumble of waves available at Shiny Shabby this round, available in two lengths in the box and with her great textures.

With Luck–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 21

The is one of those late-in-the-season posts where nothing quite makes sense. A bed in the snow? A KittyCat lounging around? Candles? An igloo? Just chalk it up to SL and some awesome décor from gachas at Shiny Shabby from Serab and Superjaix. Those candles from Superjaix have all sorts of light adjustments for intensity, color, etc. And Serab’s bed has all sorts of yummy romantic poses but I used Luna Jubilee’s reclining poses from Shiny Shabby for this set of photos.

It all centers around those pajamas, Kimmera Madison’s gift today in the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar. With cats in glasses, they are the cat item for the holiday, the ones you wear to open your gifts around the tree, the ones you wear all day on those pajama days, your favoritest comfiest ones with the feets. They fit mesh bodies as well as system bodies so just throw ‘em on. Get some festive bows from Aikea Reiko at FROST for your ears, forgo the contacts for your glasses (from Glamistry) and snuggle up with the KittyCat.

Monicuzza Babenco has made another fabulous applier for the Logo Alex head, which I show here. I rarely like a parted mouth but with this gorgeous skin and the expression on this head, it’s sexy and totally believable. I wore Queue Marlowe’s wild and wavy new hair because it’s a day to let my hair down. And Santana Lumiere offers these great nail appliers at her store on sale right now for next to nothing, and if you purchase a special set she has at the front of the store, you are entered into a drawing to receive all 400+ of her nail sets. (Be careful what you wish for, hm?)

Divine Pleasures–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 19

“Surely everyone is aware of the divine pleasures which attend a wintry fireside; candles at four o’clock, warm hearthrugs, tea, a fair tea-maker, shutters closed, curtains flowing in ample draperies to the floor, whilst the wind and rain are raging audibly without.” ~ Thomas de Quincey

There is something so cozy about a fireplace with a fire, even if the fire is coming from candles. Cory Edo has made this cozy fireplace set for Collabor88 and these stylish chairs for Fameshed. They created the perfect scene for Barnesworth Anubis’ gift for the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar gift for today, the Kitty Campaign Stool. Now, while this was made for KittyCats, the truth is that you could use this stool for a coffee table or other décor (though my Calliekins rather likes it for herself). It’s mod so you can even put poses in it. Grab yours from the calendar!

Shiny Shabby is opening tomorrow, so I am showing a few wonderful pieces from the event. First, this knit dress from Ainaraluas comes in several colors and is a very versatile look for accessorizing. I wore Tatyana Ultsch’s fur stole for Winter Trend, a piece that fit quite nicely and includes a ton of fur variations so you can wear it with many looks. My boots are Senzati0n Domenitzo’s Winter Gacha pieces. For a small amount, you can grab a pair of one of 10 awesome colors, and they fit several mesh bodies and feet. That’s a great deal for her wonderful work.

I finally got the Annie head from Catwa Clip and took some time getting used to it. JourdanMcMillan is offering appliers at Shiny Shabby for the Catwa heads and I was able to mix and match lipstick and eye makeups and come up with a look that pleased me greatly. She has a sophisticated, very blushed look with a nice choice of makeups. My hair is one of Thora Charron’s newest ‘dos with the “Swish” animation included. While I was photographing this look, I could feel the breeze caress my face because of the moving lock of hair.

My Halloween

Trick or Treat, be so sweet, give me something good to eat!

I was remiss in doing my Halloween blog because, well, 700 kids. Each year when we have trick or treating in my village, tons of kids show up from all over the city to get a treat. (Nice neighborhood, decent sidewalks, kind people.) This year it was easily 700 (guessing from the 12 jumbo bags of candy and box of 250 fun pencils all gone minus the few “quality checks” we had to give the candy). I typically put spooky sounds in the CD player and sit outside for 3 hours to hand out candy until it’s all gone. This year it rained off and on, sometimes pouring, and the temperature was 48, but the kids still came! I was also interviewed for the local TV news. With wet hair and no makeup, I aimed to give the scare to Halloween to the whole city. Here’s a photo of the kids lined up to the sidewalk at my neighbors’, waiting patiently.

The children were so cute! And it reminded me of the KittyCatS CostumeParty set, that has been sitting at my doorway for a good long time, asking for treats! Callie made these kitties based on RL retro costumes—the kind that you and I wore, not our kids. With plastic masks and bright silly costumes, there ARE kittens behind there but first you have to give a treat! They come with a special animation that allows you to ride with them on a broom. Don’t Be Scared

KittyCatS has just come out with their Halloween cats, and they are not one bit scary. They are darling! One line is the Scaredy TatS! They are made of textures hand-drawn with pencil and ink by Callie Cline (which I personally saw in Skype in her sketchbook). Because Callie drew them, they have a vibrancy you just can’t get as easily with digital art. These seasonal KittyCats, which are covered in tattoos, also come with a special animation that allows you to fly with them on a broom. They are, of course, breedable and if you breed two of them, you get a special little kitty.

I had to make an appropriately spooky look for these creepy cats, and I started with the stunning Halloween dress from Ariadna Garrigus, which she is selling specially on Marketplace. It includes a pretty dramatic collar and wings (which I don’t show here). I wore it with Maxi Gossamer’s skull and roses jewelry for Collabor88.

My skin is one of Umazuma Metaluna’s brilliant Lelutka appliers for Collabor88. She offers three and this one was so gorgeously pale with deep ruby lips that I needed to show it. I wore a pair of eyes Uma had offered last year for the haunted holidays and lashes from Thora Charron. My dramatic final touch is Kavar Cleanslate’s wickedly wild hair for Collabor88 with its Tim Burton-inspired bow. Don’t fear—Scaredy TatS are here!
