What Doesn’t Show

I have to flash a photo of the HUDs piled up with windows on my screen, windlights set, inventory opened, and Callie and Aleida chatting with me. How does someone take a photo among all this?? Now you know some of what doesn’t show.

What does show is LeeZu Baxter succumbing to mesh bodies. Yes, folks, she has transferred some of her best system pieces, hand drawn, beautiful work, to mesh body appliers. I am so glad she did. LeeZu was always known for her gorgeous work, which was, before mesh came along, some of the most innovative and artistic on the grid. It was painful to have to pack it up when I decided to go all mesh body all the time. Now that’s not a problem. For example, I am wearing the incredible Monroe lingerie, a set I had long ago blogged on my system body in all its elegance and sexiness.

I thought the soft candlelight from Winter Thorn’s beautiful candle cages from her set at Collabor88 would lend some atmosphere. I applied Umazuma Metaluna’s gorgeous skin for the LeLutka mesh heads to another head in the set after my blog a week or so ago with the same skin was such a success. I think people are concerned they might all look alike with these mesh heads, and certainly with a certain male mesh head I see on the grid, that fear is justified, but with six heads already in the LeLutka collection, all modifiable by messing with head stretch and a plethora of skins already created to apply to these heads, I don’t think you need to worry about that. I applied the basic makeup to the eyes and Umazuma’s gift lipstick to create this look, after tweaking the blending and shimmer on the HUD. My super sexy hair is Bubbles Clawtooth’s beautiful offer for Kustom 9, a fitting style for this beautiful look.

My Favorite Bear

I don’t know about you, but I have a Bear, a sweet soft bear that growls only once in a while, never at me, and just his existence makes me feel better about everything. Got him over three years ago but still keep him close because, let’s face it, those tender brown eyes are irreplaceable. I whisper my secrets into those sweet soft ears and hold him tight, and he gives me comfort and happiness.

Now I am not sure if you have a Bear, but certainly you can understand my attachment. This sweet bear from Sakuya Lane is one of the best I have found in SL, made of sculpties and special magic. And my bedtime outfit keeps my Bear happy. First my lingerie from Lisanna Lauria, one of her contributions to District 5 (which opens tomorrow!).  It is a system pieces that comes with appliers for the boobs and a butt if you have them. (In this case, I AM wearing boobs.) System clothes still exist and are still used in world and still can look fabulous. My stockings and shoes are from Gospel Voom, who includes his own stocking HUD and textures with this set. A little HUD work and silk covers my legs.

My hair is one of Truth Hawks’ newest, not for an event but simply sold at his store and darling as heck. It comes with little skelly hands, which I did not wear because, well, those would scare my Bear. My sultry skin is Sawsan Secretspy’s featured skin for District 5. Sawsan found herself in the middle of the Sin City portion of the event and has made a skin to match with seemingly innocent pink lipstick but sensuous eye makeup and a bod that won’t quit. Sometimes all a Bear wants is soft skin and warm hugs.

A piece of a hot poem for a hot look. (Oh gosh I love this poem from Kevin Young.) I went over to the Dark Style and picked up some sexy items including this lingerie from Tatyana Ultsch, who includes appliers for top and bottom, though I only used the top on my mesh boobs from Riann Maltese. (I think my bottom is fine enough as is.) Sexy shoes from Promagic complete the look over Slink feet.

My skin is one of Shyla Diggs’ lovely makeup looks on Tricky Boucher’s base. Love the details of the body, especially that lovely butt and the hip bones. My hair is Mirja Mills’ beguiling retro style for My Attic.

If I am looking a bit more voluptuous, I am in this outfit. I think to balance a big top, a woman needs the bod to hold it all, including a bigger waist and bigger hips. This look is luscious and sexy and absolutely smokin’ without being exaggerated or cartoonish. (Hint: a little fullness to the belly and butt adds to the plush.)

This limited edition outfit is available now in her store with the nightie you see above and this sexy bra and boy-cut panties beneath. Lingerie is Indigoblue’s specialty, so if you are planning some romance soon (and who isn’t with Valentine’s coming up), make sure you stock up at her store. I wear Sigifaust’s classic fuzzy slip-on mules with this nighttime look, which are available at The Theme Park and work with Siddean Munro’s mid-arched mesh feet.

Sawsan Secretspy has come out with another absolutely sexygorgeousknockout skin in Lina. I am not sure how she keeps cranking it out, but this one has a variety of warm and vibrant make-ups with her characteristically sexy bod and pretty face. She has appliers for everything possible that needs application—hands, feet, boobs and butt. Truth Hawks has made this seductive layered long hair with feathered locks and a come-hither softness. This will be one girls will be reaching for whenever they want to flirt.

In My Closet

What’s in the back of your closet that you’re keeping a secret? For a long time it was a pair of black boots from graduate school that reminded me of walking the sidewalks at of the University. Buried deep in there too is a sari from a friend. There is also a pair of baby slippers and a onesie, tucked away to remember how small my son was when he was an infant and a satin shawl I made and wore only once—on my wedding day. And in my underwear drawer, a sexy purple demi-bra and panties I bought once to seduce a boyfriend.

Maybe you have such a set in your drawer, something lacy and entirely impractical, designed for wearing for only a couple minutes before it’s off and you’re off to your next adventure. This set, from Elysage, is a dream created in Paris by a young French designer. She is just starting out and I expect more from her but I couldn’t help but blog the set she sent after I had taken a few photos for her. The look is minimal, sexy sensuous. I look forward to more.

What makes the lingerie look even more fabulous, of course, is this skin from Ava Grau. Ava stunned the Skin Fair attendees with her set of Anais skins, all so lushly drawn and tinted so that women of color could be absolutely beautiful (and not too brown or orange or red). A short hair from Carina Larsen makes this look stunning, especially with Ikon Innovia’s gorgeous eyes.

My Boyfriend’s Shirt

The Shirt

Sometimes I slip my boyfriend’s shirt on because it smells like him. Today I put on a shirt my boyfriend might get made by Ross Myhre. He sells mostly men’s suits and pants made in mesh (and no, ladies, the suits won’t fit us—they aren’t tailored for the feminine form—I tried). He has, however, tossed us girls a bone with this great boyfriend’s shirt, which I have paired with sexy lingerie from camilla Yosuke. This shirt fits me like a glove.

N-Core has a sale going on this week so rush over there because they have put select colors on sale and I, of course, bought up the store. (I also show the photo above because I wanted to emphasize how truly magical mesh is. Check out my shirt AND my hair.)

I picked up Hart Larsson’s new Faith skin, which is a sexy skin for a look like this one. He offers the option to purchase the eye makeups and the lips separately. I picked up the eye makeups and used the smoky one for this look. And then Kavar Cleanslate offers this modified Betty Page ‘do, in perfect wavy mesh.

Life’s a Cinch

This post is ALL about the corset, this one from Jenica Penucca for Quarantine. I finally found my way over to the Zombie Popcorn thing. I had never gone because the name made me think it wouldn’t be my kind of event but Jenica’s corset changed my mind. Finally someone can make a truly authentic wasp waist corset in SL and it makes sense. In this case, she used mesh (good idea!) and styled it tied with a velvet bow, so it can go from sexy to elegant in a flash. (I actually threw a ball gown on with this as I had to go get something at the corner store and it looked terrific!) The only thing I didn’t get was—why did I have to wear two alphas? Makes it a pain for those of you in Phoenix.

My flowing locks are one of Kavar Cleanslate’s head toppers from the Hair Fair. I have to say, I love love love mesh hair and Kavar is one of the best. I love how I can turn my head and the hair still hangs down! My skin is one of Tricky Boucher’s newest, unadorned with anything but darker brows. Thanks to feedback from my friend, JF, I could put the whole look together with a simple necklace and look sensational.

Maybe it’s time to give Fantasy Faire a little sex appeal. All the fairies and pixies notwithstanding, nothing sells as well as sex, and I am here to dish it up. First I start with the tempting entry title—Submission—and then I lay it on thick with this sexy outfit from Nenya Eun. One of her submissions (pun intended) for the Fantasy Faire, with all proceeds going to Relay for Life, it’s skimpy yes, but that’s intended. Consider the pieces valuable—each little square inch much more so because you get such a little garment to give so much to Relay for Life.

I submit to you that nothing is more sexy than a long lush head of hair, especially in a beautiful blonde like this one from Truth Hawks. He is bringing sexy back in his mesh hairs, which finally sit right on my head and provide all the amazing textures and life we have come to expect from Truth.

My glowing skin is one of Hush Darkrose’s newest, and uniquely hers with a blushing demeanor and sexy sexy features like the soft sensuous lips and beautiful skin tone. For once a cleavage look makes total sense and in this outfit, with my abundance of fine uh.. features, I can offer myself to the most worthy and know he deserves my submission.

Welcome Home, Soldier

Thousands of soldiers are coming home from Iraq still (while still others are still being deployed to Afghanistan). While we have been enjoying the comforts of our homes, these soldiers, both men and women, have been engaging in combat in the name of dubious reasons. I, for one, never wanted them to go, and I am glad they are finally coming home. I want the rest to get back safe and sound as quickly as possible from Afghanistan.

While they were gone, loved ones waited for them, connecting to them through phone calls, and Skype and emails and letters, but that couldn’t have been enough. I wish there was a program for returning veterans where they could run off with their partners, spouses, or sweeties for a week of rest and relaxation on a deserted island. They both need and deserve it—he or she for fighting, and the counterpart for keeping the home fires burning.

My lovely has definitely kept a fire burning for her soldier. With the most delicate of lace lingerie from Zaara Kohime (who ups the sensuality of this lingerie with bright ribbons of color), this soldier’s lover has adorned herself to be most inviting and welcoming. High platforms from Gospel Voom in a nude color, give her a boost.

My skin is Izzie Button’s newest, a fresh beautiful look for our soldier’s loved one. With a great selection of eyeliners and lipsticks, this skin, which Izzie tells me is a combination of template and photosource with a lot of hand drawing figured in, is a lovely look for our seductress. Wavy mesh locks from Truth Hawks give her soft and luxurious hair and her bedroom eyes are courtesy of Ikon.

Our vacation spot is Barnesworth Anubis’ new remake of an old classic. His Lamin Longhouse is a best seller and has been reconfigured and deprimmed to bring it down to a mere 56 prims for the building, and 220 total with all the wonderful furniture (including candles, cushy chairs, plants, pillows, bathtub, and the inviting bed). You simply can’t pass up on this gorgeous tropical paradise.

The Moulin

The girls of the Moulin Rouge probably got used to having it all hanging out and to walking around like finely trimmed birds, fluffed and feathered and laced. This little number from the queen of satin and sexy, Solange Cerveau, is a perfect example of a perfect Moulin Rouge outfit. With its demure *ahem* lace skirt and sexy loose gloves, this is a piece of lingerie that is dressed up for more than just taking off. A pretty girl could do her slow burn in this, taking it off piece by piece until all that is left are those pretty gloves….

This gorgeous new skin from Gala Phoenix’s Mardi Gras line, which certainly made ME want to party with its smokey eyes and pale sensuous lips. I pair it with Ikon Innovia’s bewitching Bermuda Blue eyes and this terrific updo from Marisa Kira that comes with removable hair band and ribbon that also have color change. Love the curls on top.
