Together—KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 17

Today’s KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar is a double-whammy of star power. Both Shai Delacroix and Barnesworth Anubis are giving gifts, so make sure you get to the calendar today. Shai has contributed this darling mesh Santa hat, perfect for good girls and boys (and bad ones too). I matched it up with this darling coat from Ivy Burner that she is featuring at Frost, a beautiful piece of mesh work, intricately done  with a hood and fur-trimmed cuffs, collar and hem. Ivy has really upped her mesh game and she caters to every applier possible. She is a hard-working lady. I paired it with tights from Lisanna Lauria and great boots from Senzati0n Domenitzo, both also available from Frost.

Barnesworth has made these beautiful sets of mesh frames, 1 land impact with both dark and light frames, which can be modified in size, to change the matte colors, whatever you choose. He has improved the LOD over frames he has made in the past so they render beautifully. I use these frames extensively in my house because, well, I am a shutterbug (duh) and love having a visual reminder of the wonderful times I have had with my friends. The frames are kind of an iconic piece for SL—we are social and we are visual in this world and this piece serves as the perfect container for that.

Shyla Diggs is offering a gorgeous set of skins at The Liaison Collaborative this month and with separate lip tattoos, you get a seemingly endless variety of looks from one small pack of skins. And what a gorgeous set of looks. Ms. Bubbles Clawtooth’s hair fits perfectly under Shai Delacroix’s holiday hat and makes my look pretty and festive.

Melancholy—KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 14

Isn’t it funny that at Christmas something in you gets so lonely for — I don’t know what exactly, but it’s something that you don’t mind so much not having at other times. ~ Kate L. Bosher

I have been spending some time wandering around SL by myself and rather enjoying it. There is something in me that needs time alone, and when I can view the beautiful creations in SL, I am often content. It seems melancholy but is a pensiveness that is sometimes suitable during a busy season. Barnesworth Anubis’ new gazebo that he is selling at Collabor88 is a perfect place for solitary contemplation.

And I am contemplating yesterday’s opening of Frost because it’s bound to be packed with goodies you want for a warm winter. This darling outfit from Lisanna Lauria is sure to please with a system top in several jewel tones that also comes with appliers and pretty skirts with sparkle. Tights from a gacha at Frost from Manda Schmooz keep my legs warm and beanster Potato’s great boots with a texture-change HUD complete my wintery outfit.

This shot accents the beautiful gift in the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar today—a gorgeous bracelet from Abraxxa Anatine, the goddess of metals and semi-precious stones. Abraxxa crafted this beautiful bracelet with sodalite and silver so it can be worn year-round, not just at the holidays.

My lovely long locks are Ikira Frimon’s featured style for Frost and I love this look. With the face-framing locks and the great texture-change HUD, this style has a lot to offer. My skin is a glowing look from Inka Mexicola with blushing cheeks and a lovely green eye makeup. And I love these deep blue peepers from Constance Daehlie.

Living Grandly

I’m reading Special Topics in Calamity Physics right now and rather enjoying it, so I snagged one of Dad’s pithy ideas for my quote. I hope you’re living grandly as I am. Biography or not, I’ll look good. Start with my slinky party dress from Lisanna Lauria. She has this at District 5 in several colors for girls who like to go out look chic. With a criss-crossed back, it’s really sexy. Paired with wedge sandals from Antonia Millar, also from District 5, which include a great texture-change HUD for different choices, and AvaGardner Kungler’s bracelet for the Dressing Room Fusion.

My sexy sensuous skin is Inka Mexicola’s offer for the Dressing Room Fusion. I love the eye make-up, the sensuous lips, the darling nose. For the price, it’s quite a look. I wore Kavar Cleanslate’s brilliant updo for the Arcade, choosing to tempt you with the rare, a light brown streaked with rainbow colors. I didn’t think it would go but boy, I like this look a lot—the soft sexy skin from Inka and the beautiful locks from Kavar. This is the way to live life grandly, regardless of Magnificent Reason!

My Favorite Bear

I don’t know about you, but I have a Bear, a sweet soft bear that growls only once in a while, never at me, and just his existence makes me feel better about everything. Got him over three years ago but still keep him close because, let’s face it, those tender brown eyes are irreplaceable. I whisper my secrets into those sweet soft ears and hold him tight, and he gives me comfort and happiness.

Now I am not sure if you have a Bear, but certainly you can understand my attachment. This sweet bear from Sakuya Lane is one of the best I have found in SL, made of sculpties and special magic. And my bedtime outfit keeps my Bear happy. First my lingerie from Lisanna Lauria, one of her contributions to District 5 (which opens tomorrow!).  It is a system pieces that comes with appliers for the boobs and a butt if you have them. (In this case, I AM wearing boobs.) System clothes still exist and are still used in world and still can look fabulous. My stockings and shoes are from Gospel Voom, who includes his own stocking HUD and textures with this set. A little HUD work and silk covers my legs.

My hair is one of Truth Hawks’ newest, not for an event but simply sold at his store and darling as heck. It comes with little skelly hands, which I did not wear because, well, those would scare my Bear. My sultry skin is Sawsan Secretspy’s featured skin for District 5. Sawsan found herself in the middle of the Sin City portion of the event and has made a skin to match with seemingly innocent pink lipstick but sensuous eye makeup and a bod that won’t quit. Sometimes all a Bear wants is soft skin and warm hugs.

The Tease

I am dressed to tease from the 100 Block, another one of the Depraved Nation’s fashion extravaganzas, which is opening April 9. Yeah, sorry, you have to contain your fashion lust for a few more days while I tease you (and you know how I like to tease). Start with this dangerously sexy lace mini-dress from Missqwerty Pevensey (she of the amazingly impossible-to-type name), a mesh confection for wowing the boys at the club. Pull on stockings from Lisanna Lauria with garters down the thighs and then over-the knee-boots from Ydreece Forster, and you have a complete look, all from the 100 Block.

I wiggled into this gorgeous skin from Nicole Button. I loved what she did for Skin Fair with her newest skins and now she has released them fully. I wear the skin untouched by makeup, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. I will wear this one over and over and others she has produced. They are just that lovely. My short hair is Chiaki Xue’s newest release, a unisexy style that comes in Chiaki’s full complement of colors.
