La Primavera

In honor of spring, I went to the picturesque Black Kite sim to take today’s photos. Thalia Heckroth’s graceful gown creates the elegant column I wanted to create for my look, which centers around SinfulSky’s beautiful headpiece for MadPea Productions for the Gacha Garden. It’s the “Seed of Inspiration” piece for their collection and a most beautiful look for photographs. The only jewelry that could justify such a lovely piece is AvaKungler Gardner’s work, including a choker she features at her store and the lovely bracelet she made for this month’s We <3 RP.

AvengeStore is participating in the Buy Now event, which is taking place on Marketplace. Organized by a group of designers, it allows people to purchase exclusive items on Marketplace only. AvengeStore’s applier was made for a Logo head, presumably the Alex, but I chose to wear it on the Chloe. I actually tried it on all three heads and found it was gorgeous on every one of them, which is highly unusual for an applier (they all have such different shapes). Each one took on a different character wearing the skin, but I was most attracted to the freshness of the applier on the Chloe head and received several compliments as well. Mirja Mills’ gorgeous hair for Shiny Shabby was my natural choice for this look, lush and feminine. I was not happy about covering it with a headpiece at first but it was so ideal for this ensemble with tendrils framing the face, it was a perfect look for my primavera.

I recently signed up to be auctioned off at the Celebrity Auction for Mad Pea, benefiting Live & Learn in Kenya, run by Brique Topaz in world. I am begging you all to bid on me so I don’t have to ask my dad to do so. (And yes, yes I would ask him and knowing him, I would get 50L.) I realize that there are a ton of wonderful people up for grabs, including my beautiful partner, Callie Cline, so consider me a bargain buy because I am guessing the rest will go for a mighty sum. (I have spent time with Alexa Linden at SLCC and believe me, you’re gonna want to strap yourself in for quite a fun ride!)

Above and beyond my endless gratitude, I will be offering to the lucky winner time spent with me in scintillating conversation and their choice of a feature in this very blog for themselves or their organization, a variety box of homemade cookies sent at the holidays (provided I get their address), postage paid, OR my voice on their home answering machine sent via mp3 (if you find Midwestern women’s accents exotic, this might be the one for you!)

The MadPea Productions Art Gacha opened yesterday, and I have to say, if you want some fun or beautiful pieces for décor or gifting, this is the place to go. One of my favorite artists is participating—Garvie Garzo—and if you like whimsical pieces that add a touch of though or fun to your space, hers are the best. I chose three pieces to show from her set, which are very much her style. The sign flashes on and off (but not with in world light) and has that great neon sound. I would highly recommend you check them all out as they are fun and inexpensive.

Beanster Potato was one of the first designers I went to way back when when I wanted a complete and cool outfit. She did sweaters with skirts and then tights and a little bracelet and maybe cute boots—she thought it all out but made her pieces separate enough you could wear them with other things. With the advent of mesh, beanster has not stopped but continues in this great tradition with her SLX Outfits. This set I am wearing comes with everything—top, jeans, hip belt and jewelry, even pumps though I opted for my own shoes. They fit and look fabulous and come at a terrific price. Bonus is the texture change HUD she packs with the top so you can have a number of looks out of this package. I chose KenadeeCole’s feathered sandals, also with a texture-change HUD for the feathers, to make this look a bit more casual.

Kuranosuke Kamachi is cranking out hair and I have to say, it’s all luscious and long with great textures. Included is a pretty comprehensive texture-change HUD so you can find just the tone you like. I am wearing the Alex mesh head from Maximillion Grant and this time I opted not to fool around with the expressions. This head can be more than that—you can actually walk around wearing and enjoying it (and who walks around with their tongue hanging out besides my dog?). It’s a great shape for Sawsan Secretspy’s lovely skin for the Mesh Body Addicts fair, a skin that comes with several makeup options. I popped in Eleri Catlyn’s mesh eyes and adjusted them to size for the head.

Finally, my seat is a collaboration between Wavie Haller and Tegin Serin for the LTD round. I walked around and was amazed by the offerings at that particular event. There were some lovely pieces for decorating, especially this chair, which comes with a ton of poses and great textures for the pillow and blanket, all scripted in for your decorating and redecorating pleasure. One thing I really like about Wavie is that he is willing to collaborate with many designers and groups and seems to do so with ease. That’s a particular difficulty with many creators in SL and RL too. To work and seamlessly combine efforts is sometimes impossible, but he seems to make it happen again and again. That’s real.
