Let’s Party!

When this drops on to my blog, the ball will be dropping on my personal Time Square. My head may be dropping on the pillow but more likely, my fingers will be dropping on to my keyboard. I really think 2010 is going to be wonderful. I just FEEL it.

Let's Party

Well, if you’re gonna do it, do it right. (Now, let me explain this pose—first on that posestand and when I jumped on, it showed everything I was wearing so I decided to take a shot.)

Let's Party

Since we are talking about partying, and probably in some hot and heavy dance place, I need to make sure I am not overdressed. These capris from Babette Ultsch combined with this ultra sexy top from paeoti Pomeray do it. Babette, who is one of the queens of clubwear in SL it seems, made these capris rather smartly, combining sculpties with a photosourced texture.

paeoti Pomeray is all about the sexy and this top hits it. She takes a step beyond letting it all hang out to pretty and sexy all at once. With its shirred sleeves and bared midriff, this lovely piece can go from dance floor to bedroom in a flash.

Let's Party

Finally, the hair. This long beautiful style is one of Mirja Mills’ newest. She has been making hair for the RP and alternative set for a while. With its lovely wispy tendrils, uber long ponytail, and wicked hair clip, this one is for partying (especially with those flexis moving all over).

A La Moulin

I can blog as a man, but it’s not always my “thing,” ya know? So today I am blogging as a woman—all woman.

A La Moulin

paeoti Pomeray has a way of making a woman FEEL like a woman—she makes you feel sexy and desirable and pretty. Check out her latest shown here—with its long lacy bustle, sexy black thigh highs and bowed and beribboned corset, this is frippery worth wearing, especially to a special holiday party—of two ;)

A La Moulin

I thought Desidelia Vella’s skin would work well with this. It’s sexy and creamy-smooth and has the right tone for a darker-skinned avatar. The lips are full and luscious, the eyebrows perfectly drawn, and she has a wicked collarbone.

A La Moulin

I am showing these with the sexiest boots—the new suede wonders from Bax Coen. Each boot in her suede series includes her fantastic resizing scripts (and what a thrill to just put on my old boots, “speak” the measurements and let the new boots “hear” them), color change for the details (zipper, metal, sole, etc), sound on or off, and best of all four different colors to choose from. (Below is “Byzantium.”)

Oh, Bax, you know what a woman wants…

A La Moulin

… long boots up to there and zippers sliding all the way down.

A La Moulin

You make me feel, you make me feel, you make me feel….

Collecting Art

Lorac Farella IM’d me with the words I always like to hear from her—“Would you like to see some new skins?” Lorac, as has become apparent with this blog, is usually my skin maker of choice. I try other skins, but I always end up with Lorac’s because they “look like” Harper.

One of my fantasies in this other life was to be an art collector; as a result I have an extensive collection of art on prims, but honestly, some of the best art I own comes in the form of fashion, skins, hair, etc. Lorac’s are, of my collection, some of the best of the best. They provide me the most aesthetic and personal enjoyment.

Her new “Life” line has the hallmarks of a Lorac skin—the detailed and almost poignant eyes, the luscious drawn lips, the finely defined collarbones, the beautifully arched eyebrows (and I have to say, with skins, it’s *always* about the eyebrows for me), the deliciously drawn sensuous body. A woman in Lorac’s skin is a woman—not a girl, not a Barbie doll, not an anime cartoon. She is a full and entire woman.

Collecting Art

Unlike many bloggers, I choose not to do the omnibus approach to showing the skins—you can see that in the store. I chose one to wear, and I wore paeoti Pomeray’s sexy and fun lingerie with it so you can see the approach of two different artists—where Lorac is almost painterly, paeoti’s textures are smoother and more bright and contrasted. Yet the two look good together.

Then I top it all with another artist’s work—Sky Everett’s hair. I have said before Sky’s hair is fantasy hair—piled-high, full, extravagant and luxurious, her hair is the dream of beautiful women across the grid. One could never say Sky is parsimonious with her textures or prims—or her talents.
