Spring Again

I know every season Serene Footman changes up his sim at Prides Crossing so I went down to take a peek and I was much rewarded with springtime beauty on the sea. I wandered the grounds, nearly avoided a wild turkey, petted his dog and took a few photos of myself in this lovely dress from Giz Seorn, which she has at Shiny Shabby this month. Available in several colors, the dress combines very real mesh details (not just textures but actual cut out shapes) with a lovely springtime lightness. With a beautifully framed cut-out back, the dress is a must have. I paired it perfectly with flower-embellished sandals from HauteCoutureDesign.

JuneMonteiro brings spring time freshness to Skin Fair with her line of skins that also all come with TMP appliers. She includes four eyebrow options and a ton of luscious lipsticks and glittering eye shadows plus Slink appliers. These skins are truly hand-drawn with elegant features. Truth Hawks has issued a number of new hairs this past week including this side swept look with straight bangs upon which I placed one of Jacinda Jaxxon’s Coachella Bound gacha hair flowers.

Winter Grace

I snuck over to Prides Crossing again to take photos because it’s so peaceful there with the falling snow and the beautiful landscaping. I have assembled a comfy look with a great mesh sweater/skirt set from Miffyhoi Rosca, who has made it all one piece in lovely soft pastels. I paired it with great boots that come with a terrific texture change HUD that allows all sorts of variations from Alliana Petunia, which she is selling exclusively at FROST this month.

Bubbles Clawtooth made this fabulous hair with a knit cowl wrapped around it for Collabor88. She includes a texture change HUD not only for the hair colors but also for the cowl, but I opted for the default white because it suited the outfit. I had purcahsed this great skin from Aikea Reiko during Skin Addiction’s Black Friday and I am first getting a chance to show it. With its warm tones, beautiful brows and fantastic eye makeup, it’s a gorgeous skin for fantasy or for a peaceful walk in the woods.

Silent Night—KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 24

Silent night, Holy night
All is calm, all is bright

(December 24, 1818: Father Joseph Mohr first performed his song Silent Night 196 years ago today. Nearly a century later, in 1914, German soldiers on the Western Front sang the song from the trenches and were joined by their British opponents.)

It’s the final day of the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, and I have to be honest, I am relieved. There were so many beautiful gifts given and I wanted to honor each one in my blog entries, but I am exhausted. Well add to this that I made 13 different kinds of cookies and 4 dozen sweet rolls for Christmas. And bought all the gifts and wrapped them, trimmed the tree, and managed to fit a manicure and pedicure in there.

The final gift of the season is, of course, a KittyCat, and this one is absolutely gorgeous with snowflakes across a midnight blue fur and a snowflake collar. Callie leant me a full grown KittyCat for posing but I couldn’t help but grab my own kitten and birth him. Rodwell sits nicely on my shoulder and in my hand.

I took my kittens to Serene Footman’s gorgeous sim and donned one of Kiddo Oh’s special holiday dresses, the Kafkaesque in white. I think this would be a fabulous wedding dress as well as a formal for the holidays. My gorgeous shoes are new ones from Senzati0n Domenitzo, and will be shown again as I love the styling. The shoes and dress fit perfectly over the Belleza mesh body (I did get the Maitreya but opted to wear this body for less hassle as I rushed to get this blog entry done).

I have used Umazuma Metaluna’s new applier for the body, and it works wonderfully across the whole body, including hands and feet. The match to the system skin is almost perfect. And my skin is one of her lovely skins at the Arcade, which is still open and great for grabbing gifts as all is no copy. Pack your gacha extras in boxes and give them to friends! My updo is one of Mirja Mill’s wonderful new formal looks, this one having her great animation for having it up as I show or down in a ponytail with one click. I love that option! Pretty earrings from Kouralee finish the look.

I hope you, my dear readers, all have a wonderful holiday time, no matter what your beliefs. This darkest of nights in the Northern hemisphere and longest of days in the Southern is a wonderful time to enjoy our families and friends and to indulge the wonderful gifts our lives give us. Snowflakes—KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 13

There are so many beautiful winter spots in SL right now. Even if you aren’t going to have a white Christmas in RL, you can still have one here. And you can wear shorts in the snow! I went to Prides Crossing, a parcel built by Serene Footman, to take these photos. He makes very beautiful spaces for the seasons—autumn was lovely as well. You can sail or fly in to the parcel from the Blake Sea so it’s a true “destination.’

I chose his space because Kiddo Oh has made this gorgeous dress for Winter Trend, a gorgeous romantic ballgown with a fur collar and lovely bow at the back. Kiddo has found her calling in beautiful mesh gowns, suitable for photos or dancing or even weddings. With beautiful textures and detailing, the gowns represent a next generation in SL.

My hair is the lovely gift for today in the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, a romantic updo from Mirja Mills that comes in this brunette or a blonde. I couldn’t help but embellish it with a hair piece from Chirzaka Vlodovic’s gacha at Chapter Four and star drop earrings from Maxi Gossamer, available at Uber. I even made sure my nails took in the winter theme, these from Ravenna Rossini at Winter Trend.

Nikohl Hax’s skin for Frost is a different look for me—paler with an almost painterly style. It’s a pretty, different look for a woman who wants pretty lips and eyes with an artistic touch.
