Summer’s Here!

Hearing the tornado siren last night, seeing 88 on the car thermometer, and feeling the splash of pool water while the kids at the local pool took turns doing cannonballs, it finally sunk in that summer is here! The impatiens in my window boxes are flourishing, the tomato plant in the Topsy Turvy is already prehistorically huge, and everyone smells like sunscreen. Yay!

Summer's Here

I wear a top as bright as the bright blue sunny sky and cute Madras shorts from Magen Jigsaw. I threw on a bunch of turquoise jewelry—it seems to fit. I absolutely love this necklace and earring set from Abraxxa Anatine. The textures are spot on—the mottled turquoise and shiny tigers eye with onyx spacers and hand worked metal links.

Summer's Here

A glowing skin from Tuli Asturius, high ponytail from Truth Hawks (with color-change barrettes), and flip flops from Emma Gilmour and all’s good.

Picnic!

Summer’s here! Haven’t we waited long enough? The flowers are blooming, the sprinklers are glittering on the lawns, the kids are outside every night shrieking and laughing and playing until they get called in.

Picnic!

I am ready for a picnic, and ready for a picnic with my pals in the fashion bloggers’ group. I am wearing a cute romper from winly Jun. With the puffy legs with their bows, the bows down the front, and the bow in back, it could almost be too much but the plaid makes it all work.

Picnic!

My pals in fashion bloggers helped me out with the vital accessories. This great straw hat by Kan Greene is imperative, especially when wearing a fair skin such as Mallory Cowen’s. Mallory understands the touch of delicate paleness a redhead needs, and I would shudder to let this beautiful face burn. The darling basket from Mouse Mimistrobell is ideal for the kind of picnic I would like—wine, cheese, bread and flowers all around.

Purple Passion

I love when colors work together. I love the bliss of seeing colors shimmer together in a texture, making a piece of fashion a piece of art and not just a wearable.

Miss Eshi has done it again. She sent me her newest outfit—Heather—a few days ago. I had seen a preview, and I realized that she forgot to include the skirt but I couldn’t wait to photograph it. That was just fine because the outfit is pretty fabulous with and without. The color scheme in this outfit—the purple, lavender, red, fuchsia and blue—and the mixture of textures—matte and sheen–give it a magic electricity.

Purple Passion

We see Eshi working with her blossom prims again, using them to make lovely belted sleeves. Puffy sleeves like this could get cutesy fast, but Eshi makes them contemporary and funky with her shimmering modern textures. She accents the pieces with plastic fantastic gemstones that are not over the top (thereby retaining their elegance for the piece).

Purple Passion

The reason Eshi’s stuff really works is because the system pieces work. They are well-rendered and carefully worked, and the shadows and highlights come from a real artist. You can see her skilled work in the close up—her edges are clean, her rendering lies on the avatar correctly. She also does incredible prim work, top to bottom.

I am wearing one of Pulse’s newest skins—Chamois/Whisper. The color combo was ideal. And gosh, I can’t seem to get this lush and funky hair from Emma Gilmour off my head. (I am wearing it in several photos out in the metaverse. Rip it off my head!)

Purple Passionit

I paired the outfit with Schmidt boots from Eshi, which share the same color scheme. I love these boots—they are whimsical and cutting edge all at once. She pushes the envelope on fun, always surprising me with how pretty her designs are while not being cute. (And that’s good, cuz we ain’t about cute.)
