Morning Ablutions

A quiet morning is a good way to come out of sleep and into a peaceful day. I enjoyed this morning with Froukje Hoorenbeek’s new galvanized bathroom set for Shiny Shabby. Coupling the most cutting-edge PG and Adult animations with the loveliest fixtures on the market, Froukje’s bathroom set creates a spa in SL. Of course, you see me taking both a bath and a shower because I needed to show these beautiful pieces in action. Sheerpetal Roussel’s rustic cottage for Shiny Shabby is the perfect setting for retreat and peace.

One of the great parts of Shiny Shabby is that you can get both clothing and décor. Paco Pooley made a set of music-related planters for this month’s event, including this drum filled with flowers. Hanshan Instrid created a gacha of lovely nature-based pieces including the artwork you see on my walls and the bench beside the tub. Kunst Himmel also enjoyed a garden theme with planters and the little watering can you see. And Artizanmesh has created spring seedlings for my windows. Qo0op has blessedly made her rugs for Shiny Shabby modifiable. That’s really important to someone like me, who likes to color pieces. Who wants to live in an all gray environment?

Nicole Button is going crazy with appliers lately, enjoying the many mesh heads on the market and creating beautiful looks for them. This beautiful face with fine features and full luscious lips is available in her store with her updated body appliers. (Make sure you get the new ones for perfect match.) An updo from Kuranosuke Kamachi for Uber is a lovely look for my morning ablutions. And Mariska Simon’s lingerie appliers get me dressed to feel sexy all day.

Divine Pleasures–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 19

There is something so cozy about a fireplace with a fire, even if the fire is coming from candles. Cory Edo has made this cozy fireplace set for Collabor88 and these stylish chairs for Fameshed. They created the perfect scene for Barnesworth Anubis’ gift for the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar gift for today, the Kitty Campaign Stool. Now, while this was made for KittyCats, the truth is that you could use this stool for a coffee table or other décor (though my Calliekins rather likes it for herself). It’s mod so you can even put poses in it. Grab yours from the calendar!

Shiny Shabby is opening tomorrow, so I am showing a few wonderful pieces from the event. First, this knit dress from Ainaraluas comes in several colors and is a very versatile look for accessorizing. I wore Tatyana Ultsch’s fur stole for Winter Trend, a piece that fit quite nicely and includes a ton of fur variations so you can wear it with many looks. My boots are Senzati0n Domenitzo’s Winter Gacha pieces. For a small amount, you can grab a pair of one of 10 awesome colors, and they fit several mesh bodies and feet. That’s a great deal for her wonderful work.

I finally got the Annie head from Catwa Clip and took some time getting used to it. JourdanMcMillan is offering appliers at Shiny Shabby for the Catwa heads and I was able to mix and match lipstick and eye makeups and come up with a look that pleased me greatly. She has a sophisticated, very blushed look with a nice choice of makeups. My hair is one of Thora Charron’s newest ‘dos with the “Swish” animation included. While I was photographing this look, I could feel the breeze caress my face because of the moving lock of hair.

Things To Do

I got a little worried that after the holidays I would be thrown into the abyss of Having Nothing To Do. After remodeling my RL family room, baking 400+ Christmas cookies for the four holiday parties I held, cleaning the house, decorating, finding gifts and so on, I thought I would be wallowing in boredom. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, my “to do” list has grown.

I have written it all down and I slyly glance at it while I am pondering what the next step might be. My pondering is done, of course, fashionably in a top from isiss Bade, belted and accessorized with a cute necklace from Maxi Gossamer that she’s selling at Love is in the Air. Leggings and boots from Nena Janus complete the look. And my to-do list? Courtesy of Hanstrid Inshan from her store of darling furniture. (Thanks a lot, Hanstrid. I needed more to do. Really.)

To dos are a lot easier to face when you feel comfortable and casual, and I certainly am with this new ponytail from Chiaki Xue. Chiaki has embedded wispy flexis with the ponytail so it doesn’t have that static feeling that many mesh ponytails have. My big blue eyes come from Cruella Pennell’s offerings at The Thrift Shop. And my skin is the lovely Ria from Shyla and Tricky Boucher, which was being offered at Collabor88 last month. Something makes me believe Shyla is working hard on something new—it’s not a fact, just intuition. Of course, she has a long “to do” list too. *sigh*
