It seems all there is for sims lately are winter scenes and all I see outside is a winter scene. It was brutally cold today, so I put on a sweater in RL and found this very cozy one that Kitt Ragu is releasing at Shiny Shabby (opening the 20th). Made for both men and women, the sweater comes in several colors with an underlying shirt if you would like it. I forewent that version and put on a little scarf I found in my inventory from xxRyvenxx and found great little low-cost boots from Senzati0n Domenitzo at The Dressing Room. My jeans were released by Paul Lapointe a bit ago but work so well with the Maitreya body and so many different looks. They come with a brilliant texture change HUD allow different jean colors, pockets and belt and metal colors, though I went with the standard classic color and look.

OK, I admit I stole the hat from Karla Marama’s hair at Hairology. I will find a way to show the actual hair but it conflicted with the sweater, so I opted for Carina Larsen’s hair for the upcoming Shiny Shabby instead. It’s a cute short cut with fringy bangs and a lot of personality. I have once again opted to try an Omega applier on the GA:EG Adriana head, this time putting on Aida Ewing’s skin applier, which she made for the Logo heads but is on an Omega applier so can be used on this head too. I have tested a few Logo appliers and the skin makers, of course, want to have the skin suit the face shape, so when the skin is put on this shape, it can look measurably different and sometimes quite “off.” Aida’s skin looked pretty good and when I applied the add-on makeups, I think the result was quite nice, especially with Aida’s pretty freckles.

I have nothing to worry about, especially looking as hot as I do. Start with this dress from Brittanny featured at the Black Fashion Fair, a corset dress with a great silhouette and texture, perfect for a night out. You can find this boa at the Black Fashion Fair too, from xxryvenxx in several colors with metals options for the dangly bit. A glamorous diamond necklace suits this look from Avaway at the Black Fashion Fair. Finally, studded shoes from Kenadeecole, one of her featured items for the 100 Block and discounted for the event, finish the look. Shiny Shabby is opening in a couple days and there you can find these poses from Luna Jubilee.

 

Shyla Diggs doesn’t stop stunning me with her beautiful skins, this one a set for The Liaison Collaborative. I can’t help but feel devastatingly gorgeous in this skin with the balance of a well-done eye with a muted lip and beautiful features and of course, her perfectly groomed brows, matching my ginger hair. This ginger hair is Bubbles Clawtooth’s newest for the TAG Gacha, a style that comes with beard and mustache (so you can look like that “lady” who won Eurovision, I presume). To be honest, if her hair is this glamorous, she deserved to win.

River—KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 9

Beloved Ruby sent over her KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar gifts—two gorgeous women’s winter coats and a men’s outfit with striped sweater—and Z said, “So let’s go skating!”

We had a wonderful time at the gorgeous frozen river/lake at Angel Manor. I was able to set the windlight to a late Sunday afternoon winter light straight out of my real life, so the skating seemed brisk and fun. We took a ton of photos between us. I treated a few of them in PS, which is not my usual, but they seemed so nostalgic.

I loved the gifts Beloved Ruby has made for the calendar, all of them lovely and truly generous and I had a great time finding the scarf from xxRyvenxx, the mittens from Izzie Button, and the tights from Bax Coen to dress the look up. Z had a fine time dressing his up for skating and both of us did tricks with our AOs all over the pond. Kaya Angel has outdone himself on this gorgeous build. It’s straight out of my own winter.

Shylah Honey has made this darling hair for the Winter Trend and it includes a HUD for changing the color of the headband as well as for the hair itself. The curls framing my face were ideal for this almost old-fashioned look. My skin was one of Rocketta Haven’s I got during the Skin Addiction Black Friday sales, a luscious-lipped, blushed pale skin that offset well with all the red I was wearing.
