Dreams by Day

March came in like a lamb and went out like a lion for us with tons of wind! I am guessing that’s why Miffyhoi Rosca made this darling dress for The Project Se7en with the wind motion already incorporated. I struggled with it at first for photos but found a perfect choice in Isabeau Baragula’s lovely chair, also for The Project Se7en, which swayed gently in the breeze, hanging from Mitsuko Kytori’s bowed tree. The tree, which comes with tons of choices, including blossoms, wind levels, etc., can be multiplied to create a lovely bower, though one was enough for me. My little doll from Miffyhoi and I curled up for a daytime nap. The dress includes a HUD that turns the flower print on and off and the doll has a color change HUD included. Isabeau has built in a ton of poses for singles and couples and includes a bunch of texture choices for the pillows and seat. Pretty little flats from Lilo Denimore for Shiny Shabby complete my outfit.

Umazuma Metaluna still does system skins for those of you who have not been able or willing to commit to a mesh head, and as always, they are gorgeous. This one was made for a recent event (which I missed by a couple days) but is sure to be offered in her store soon. My wind blown hair is one of Bubbles Clawtooth’s lovely pieces, which I got on sale recently. A perfect style to go with my dress!

Small Town Girl

I went over to the small town of Crestwick and thought about my small town girl. She had a shopping spree at Shiny Shabby since it’s opened and got this darling top and skirt combo from Asia Rae that has some great details with textures that evoke movement in the skirt and a lovely soft drape in the top. The mesh is nicely and proportionately constructed so the top is feminine but not outrageous. (In other words, the breasts are proportionate.) I paired it with Meva Carnell’s awesome necklace from Shiny Shabby and shoes from xxsaltandpepperxx from Tres Chic that have the same chain motif as the necklace. (Funny how that works.)

And how refreshing to wear a skin on my own shape again. It’s like washing your face after wearing makeup all day. Umazuma Metaluna has created this darling skin for Shiny Shabby, with and without freckles. I opted for freckles for the small town girl look. A darling wavy hair from Kuranosuke Kamachi for Shiny Shabby finishes my look. I am quite pleased with my demeanor in this look, fully a small town girl.

I’m in trouble. I just got Donna Tartt’s The Goldfinch from the library and now I am caught up in the story, so much so that I am up all night reading, unable to put it down once I allow myself to start reading. It’s an incredible book so far, anguishing and funny and all that you want from a book. It’s quite long too, so I am guessing I will be up several nights finishing it. It seems once I start, it’s hard to stop and only pure exhaustion breaks the spell.

I tried to convey that in this photo with a woman reading at a desk and the world of the novel blooming around her. My novel reader is wearing Kiddo Oh’s classically-cut dress and sitting at Tobias Convair’s desk set, both for this round of Shiny Shabby. I accessorized with Aleida Rhode’s cute, inexpensive flats for the Mix Event and AvaGardner Kungler’s exquisite bracelet for We <3 RP.

Lots of skin makers are making Omega compatible skins aimed at getting them on the Logo mesh head. Pixy Snook made this charming skin with appliers for what seemed dozens of bodies, but she clearly shaped the look around the Logo head with its luscious lips and bright eyes. Tabata Jewell’s back-knotted ponytail for Shiny Shabby is a lovely casual look for a book lover who wants to devote her time to the story, not messing with her hair.
