‘Twas the night before Christmas….

It’s actually the day before Christmas and the final day of the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar, and you who are fans knows what that means: a beautiful exclusive KittyCat will be given as a gift to all clickers. The lovely Snow Cap is a pretty kitty, and you can birth it like any KittyCat and breed as well.

My wonderful partner designed the coat on the KittyCat and this is what she wrote:

“We love using snowflakes as a way to decorate our winter gift cats. They remind us of the uniqueness of each individual who is in our Second Life Community. Every person we meet, like every snowflake nature makes, is completely unique!

Each snowflake on your special Kitty represents each person you will meet in your life. Every one is different, special, and one of a kind.

You will notice that there is one snowflake on the cat’s body which has a diamond on it. This is the reminder that in a world of snowstorms where you can feel like you are one of many, YOU are unique. The little snowflake in the cat’s ear also has a diamond on it, as a reminder to listen through the noise of life for those special messages that are all around is. And finally, the cat’s eyes shine like diamonds too, a reminder to see the good in each person, and offer them our best, remembering that they too are special.”

I brought her to the Winter Sim at Kalamata for a few photos in my own snow-white outfit. I started with this beautiful knit dress from Ilaya Allen for FROST that comes in several colors and *feels* soft and luxe. Then I added the fur bolero from Kit Ragu for Shiny Shabby, which also comes in several colors as just as a shell as you see here or with a sweater beneath that includes a texture-change HUD. Darling little mittens from PetiteAnaiis Eleonara for FROST include a special body alpha that you wear to allow your arms to show so you can remove your hands (when you are wearing a mesh body). Senzati0n Domenitzo’s thigh high boots are a sexy winter delight for this outfit and also available at Shiny Shabby.

Otyebis has made a lovely skin for Shiny Shabby that can be used on several mesh heads. I tried it on the Logo Alex and was not pleased with the outcome but on the Catwa Annie head, it’s very pretty. I spent a lot of time trying different makeups with it but opted to go with the lipstick in Catwa Clip’s HUD, dialing down the blend a bit. Empyreanforge has made a lovely seasonal necklace for FROST in both gold and silver, a festive look full of charms. Mina Nakamura has this sexy tumble of waves available at Shiny Shabby this round, available in two lengths in the box and with her great textures.

We’re almost there—the end of the gifts in the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar. Don’t worry, though, becaues the calendar will still be around through January 4, so you can still grab the gifts from every day through the new year. Mami Jewell is offering this darling cocktail dress in amethyst as her gift for today, a mesh piece that comes in the five standard sizes plus fitmesh sizes. Mine was specifically made for the Maitreya body and fit almost perfectly. She includes the mesh gloves, a netted fascinator, and a feathered neckpiece with the dress as well.

Catwa Clip just released new versions of the Jessica and Annie heads. Make sure you go to the store and get them from the redelivery HUD. I was having all sorts of problems applying makeup and found that the updates solved all my issues. Nicole Button has created this gorgeous new skin with lipsticks and eyeshadows on separate HUDs. Her eyeshadows are rich and deep while her lipsticks are a bit flat and better worn using the fader in the Catwa HUD to decrease their intensity.

My friend Jaynine Scarborough is about to come out with an album that includes several gorgeous songs. Jaynine is a vocal teacher and performer in Berlin, who has, for years, also performed almost weekly in SL at her Thousand Rooms. If you have had the privilege of catching one of her weekly performances, you get to hear a beautiful woman’s voice, full of humor and earthiness and melody and sensuality. The song I link above is absolutely beautiful and the sentiment is perfect this season. Please click!!

I took a walk in a place called My Magic Winter to show off this darling coat from Larcoco Mathy for Shiny Shabby, which opens today. It includes a texture change HUD so you can switch up the sweater, buttons, and the detachable fur collar and cuffs. I wear it with Bax Coen’s newly redone knee-high boots, made specifically for different mesh bodies like the Maitreya Lara, the Bellezas and the Slinks.

With a texture change HUD that allows variations on the metal, the charm and the beads, it’s a terrific gift! Umazuma Metaluna has made this gorgeous applier for the Catwa heads, which I am wearing on the Annie head. With several lip options, it’s a beautiful skin to match this head. (I am wearing it bare because I loved the look without lipstick for this outfit). Viking has made this great braid set for Hairology in several versions for most versatile wearing. Divine Pleasures–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 19

There is something so cozy about a fireplace with a fire, even if the fire is coming from candles. Cory Edo has made this cozy fireplace set for Collabor88 and these stylish chairs for Fameshed. They created the perfect scene for Barnesworth Anubis’ gift for the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar gift for today, the Kitty Campaign Stool. Now, while this was made for KittyCats, the truth is that you could use this stool for a coffee table or other décor (though my Calliekins rather likes it for herself). It’s mod so you can even put poses in it. Grab yours from the calendar!

Shiny Shabby is opening tomorrow, so I am showing a few wonderful pieces from the event. First, this knit dress from Ainaraluas comes in several colors and is a very versatile look for accessorizing. I wore Tatyana Ultsch’s fur stole for Winter Trend, a piece that fit quite nicely and includes a ton of fur variations so you can wear it with many looks. My boots are Senzati0n Domenitzo’s Winter Gacha pieces. For a small amount, you can grab a pair of one of 10 awesome colors, and they fit several mesh bodies and feet. That’s a great deal for her wonderful work.

I finally got the Annie head from Catwa Clip and took some time getting used to it. JourdanMcMillan is offering appliers at Shiny Shabby for the Catwa heads and I was able to mix and match lipstick and eye makeups and come up with a look that pleased me greatly. She has a sophisticated, very blushed look with a nice choice of makeups. My hair is one of Thora Charron’s newest ‘dos with the “Swish” animation included. While I was photographing this look, I could feel the breeze caress my face because of the moving lock of hair.

Strolling–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 18

I took a stroll around Crestwick Island during a nice afternoon. This outfit from Hilly Haalan, made of pieces from her latest collection, show mesh used to its fashionable with a texture-change jacket belted over some terrific slacks. She includes the handbag with the outfit and several other pieces, so it’s quite a great buy. I paired it with Senzati0n Domenitzo’s shoes for Christmas on 34th Street, which keep showing up on my feet because they are sexy and fashionable (and giftable—hint hint, guys). Mea Carnell is selling this great statement jewelry set at Cosmopolitan Room with several variations on the necklace and bracelet for versatility.

My favorite jewelry today, however, are my earrings from AvaGardner Kungler, today’s gift in the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar. Ava actually offers this pair and another in gold (somewhat different) so you are getting two gifts from a very talented jewelry designer.

Inka Mexicola has come out with this beautful applier for LeLutka mesh heads, and I chose to wear it on the Karin head. I love the shading under the eyes and the luscious lips. I will say I tried the expressions on the head with this skin and they were not doing it for me. The perfect pout is the way to go. Tabata Jewell is offering this sleek full low bun at Hairology. I love the wisps of hair framing the face and the fullness of the style. She is the goddess who organizes most of it so give her some respect when you’re enjoying Hairology.

Crazy Christmas–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 17

Are you going to let all this beauty go to waste? – Lucy on “A Charlie Brown Christmas”

Christmas just isn’t Christmas without something being over the top and the 2015 Christmas Town fulfills that requirement. At first you land to a generic Christmas village (which actually has some nice shopping if you look around) but if you go to the big blue ice castle and click on one of the skating balls, you’re in for a crazy treat. You end up skating through a number of “scenes” from the holidays, including holiday movies like a Charlie Brown Christmas (as seen at the bottom) and When the Grinch Stole Christmas (below) and then some just crazy bright wild and wonderful spaces. While we don’t condone using trademarked figures in this blog (cough), we really loved the ride.

So it was an ideal place to wear today’s gift for the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar, a mix of mesh and system pieces from June Dion. June has piled on the feathers and stars and ornaments, giving us some great materials in the mesh as well. I topped it with one of the nutty hats MadPea Creations is offering at the Tannenbaum Holiday Market. It includes, of course, snow and music. Red boots from Senzati0n Domenitzo for Winter Trend complete my look.

Toxxic Rhiannyr makes some very luscious skins, one of which I received as a nominee for the Avi Choice awards. With its pale complexion, I thought it would be ideal for this holiday look, especially with bright green eyes and red red lips from Constance Daehlie. Bella Earst has made some crazy cool ponytails for Hairology. They include a variety of regular and also fantastic (as in fantasy) texture choices and optional petals or as I show here, jingle bells.

Oh Brother–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 16

It snowed last year too: I made a snowman and my brother knocked it down and I knocked my brother down and then we had tea. ~ Dylan Thomas

This is my brother. Ok, in RL I don’t have a brother but in SL, I have someone who functions as one. Not in that sticky icky hearts and flowers in my profile way. More like that annoying IM me with foolishness and stupid names like “smeg” and “fart blossom.” The one who will trash me one minute and go after anyone who looks at me funny the next. There is, of course, constant bickering and arguments about who is to do what and when. Like shoveling.

Of course, my brother needs to be the one who has to go out to do the shoveling. It’s only fair. The pose set from Kay Weston for FROST is more ideally fitted to him (*cough* no one needs to tell him the shovel position can be modifed).  And of course I can sit by sipping my hot cocoa and watching and tell him where he’s missed a spot. It’s the natural order of things.

Of course, if he was a little misaimed in throwing the snow, it would hit me and get all over my new sweater, the gift Sanura Snowpaw made for the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar for yesterday. It includes a texture change HUD so you can wear this snowflake in several colors. My tights are stocking appliers from Ashton Tryce at FROST. They are awesome snowflake tights for any holiday outfit. My little boots are one of Chantal Mynx’s creation for FROST. My brother is wearing a horrible Krampus sweater from Parallax and a matching hat that he got on MP. (Because, you know, no reason to be cute and festive. Always have to bring things down, right?)

My brother is wearing today’s KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar gift, a beard from ReishiProphet, available in two styles and several hair colors including a tintable beard. (I tried making it green but, yeah, don’t go there.) This is a tattoo layer and is a gift for MEN, who seem to get short shrift in the gift department in SL during the holidays. He is wearing it over the Emerson skin from ReishiProphet but it can be worn with any skin and look just as awesome.

I am sporting Lara Hurley’s lovely new skin with an included winter blush, which is just lovely. I love the brows, lips, eyes. Well I love it all and it’s fantastic on my system shape. Bubbles Clawtooth is featuring two hairs with texture-change hats at Collabor88 with winsome hair styles. Please note brother and sister have the same eyes from Constance Daehlile. We got them from our dad.

Prettiness–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 15

I wanted to find a beautiful fantasy area for a sort of sexy snow queen and her pet and the Winter Sim at Kalamata fit the bill perfectly. My snow queen is a sort of sexpot too, so lingerie from Mariska Simons for Christmas on 34th Street made complete sense. A combination of a mesh corset and appliers makes the outfit beautiful and elegant, and it’s giftable so you can give it to a loved one or friend for the holiday. It also comes with a complement of jewelry, including the lovely crown I am wearing.

I did not wear the other jewelry because I received this beautiful gift from Belle Roussel for the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar, a set that includes a necklace, bracelet and earrings. The set also includes a texture change HUD so switch up various parts of the jewelry to match your outfit. I chose the ruby and pink because I wanted it to stand out on in this look. I really like it because it’s a very versatile and simply elegant set that could go with many looks. And I love how the bracelet hangs around the wrist with the heart-shaped charms dangling. It’s a fine set of prettiness for your holiday.

Today is the last day of this round of Shiny Shabby and Marcopol Oh has this beautiful applier on sale at the event so run over there now to get it. It comes with several eye makeups and lipsticks in his singularly elegant style. Some of my most romantic moments have occurred during the holidays. Maybe more are to come. That’s why it’s great that Erratic Rain came out with this absolutely drop-dead set of lingerie just in time for the holidays. With bra, panties, corset, stockings, and thong, it allows for lots of mix and match looks without the over-the-top showgirl look of a lot of lingerie. And it fits perfectly to the Maitreya body. I accessorized with Senzati0n Domenitzo’s fabulous pumps and the gorgeous earrings that Mirja Mills is giving as today’s gift in the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar. Lots of people know Mirja for her hair, but she also does other mesh creations, especially intricate jewelry, so it’s a privilege to receive these earrings as a gift.

Umazuma Metaluna has come out with a set of sexy appliers for the LeLutka mesh heads for Collabor88, so I opted for the luscious toffee tone and enjoyed finding a most kissable expression on the head with the new Expressions feature. Thora Charron has created a line of animated hairs under the “Swish” sublabel and a lock of my hair in front moved slightly in a breeze. Astralia is offering this mistletoe hair piece at Christmas on 34th Street, a giftable set that you might give to a friend as a hint or wear yourself to gin up some romance for your holiday. Mr. Beresford was much inclined when he saw it on me.

I took my photos at Elysion, which is a picture perfect sim because Syn Beresford (distantly related cousin, yes—talent clearly runs in the family) has created an adult atmosphere that includes beautiful dreamlike spaces and rollicking parties on the weekends. I am including a photo of the touching display Syn has built for the victims in Paris, a reminder to all of us that SL is entwined with RL, and we are all part of a bigger global community.

Bringing Home the Tree–KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 11

Loch Noble just reopened their sim and a fresh coat of snow has fallen with more coming down. It’s coated the whole beautiful village with a white blanket and made it perfectly charming and wintery. I took a late morning run over to check out the storefronts and get my tree. (OK, it’s the sim “tree on a car” but work with me here…) I felt very seasonal in Aryiana Novelli’s supposedly ugly sweater for Christmas on 34th Street, though I think it’s absolutely charming with the clever use of multiple translucent layers to make it look soft. Chantal Mynx’s cowl for FROST provides colorful warmth, as do Izzie Button’s tights for TLC. And they matched my boots from Hera Aviatik, which are also for FROST. Pretty earrings from AvaGardner Kungler for this month’s On9 (which I downsized quite a bit) and a berry cluster from Abraxxa Anatine make the whole look seasonal and pretty.

Thank goodness for Mavi Beck’s darling holiday poses for TLC because they worked great for this set of photos. I am wearing Sawsan Secretspy’s new skin for Winter Trend on the Catwa Jessica head and I added shadows from Alaska Metropolitan that she is offering at a rock bottom price at Anybody. I have fallen in love with Constance Daehlie’s eyes for Winter Trend (which you will see over and over for the next few weeks). She offers system and mesh eyes. And the final and most glorious part of my look is Queue Marlowe’s gift for the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar for today—an amazing topknot that includes three different HUDs for your wearing pleasure.
