The Miss Virtual World contest is over and the glitter and sequins have been swept up from the runway, but that doesn’t mean a little sparkle doesn’t remain from the contest. Mohna Lisa just released the dress made for the MVW winner, Eleseren Brianna. Based on the designs of Peruvian designer Noe Bernacelli, the gown is a magnificent example of James’ (Mohna Lisa’s) skill with translucent mesh, creating a piece that is provocative and elegant with deep red roses embroidered over the mesh and a very subtle glitter you can see as the gown moves in SL. He has included a dramatic cape, rendered beautifully with a satin exterior, really suitable only for photo taking but absolutely gorgeous.

Strip off the cape and the gown is breathtaking in its silhouette with an amazing translucency and a glittering texture applied to the fabric that can only be appreciated with movement in SL (see above). As the eensy little gems pick up the shifting windlight in SL, the gown glitters. It’s a fabulous use of graphics in SL especially added to the dramatic look the beautiful mesh overlaying the body provides. (And in this case, I am wearing it over the Belleza Venus mesh body.) The roses coverning the gown give it its South American flavor, a lusciously romantic and sensual look. I can’t help but think the gown itself helped Eleseren’s win. I know I feel like a winner wearing it!

My skin is one of Shyla Diggs’ for Uber, which I believe is now closed so I am certain she will have them at the main store soon if not already. I loved the sophisticated matte lip matched with the daring red eye makeup. I wore this pretty braided updo from Nontroppo Torii as it conveyed a sort of South American flavor that suited the dress itself. Gold earrings from AvaGardner Kungler echo the gold in the belt. I had to wear Senzati0n Domenitzo’s new elegant and sexy slingbacks again.

A cute pop song from this year for a cute rock girl look. I am wearing Datrip Blackbart’s new Rockstar outfit, a skirt and t-shirt with a studded belt. The texture-change HUD allows for different shirt sayings and the belt can be switched up in color for different looks as well. I matched it up with the gladiator platform heels Kehl Razor is offering at Frost. It’s a nutty rock n roll look, I guess, but I think it’s fun.

I am wearing this all over the new Maitreya mesh body named Lara. I am still working out how I feel about the body so I will get back to that in another post. I used Umazuma Metaluna’s new applier for the Maitreya body, and it looks fabulous. Ms. Bubbles Clawtooth gave out this gorgeous hair in red and, of course, green as a gift for the holidays. I couldn’t resist matching it to my rock n roll style.

I snuck over to Prides Crossing again to take photos because it’s so peaceful there with the falling snow and the beautiful landscaping. I have assembled a comfy look with a great mesh sweater/skirt set from Miffyhoi Rosca, who has made it all one piece in lovely soft pastels. I paired it with great boots that come with a terrific texture change HUD that allows all sorts of variations from Alliana Petunia, which she is selling exclusively at FROST this month.

Bubbles Clawtooth made this fabulous hair with a knit cowl wrapped around it for Collabor88. She includes a texture change HUD not only for the hair colors but also for the cowl, but I opted for the default white because it suited the outfit. I had purcahsed this great skin from Aikea Reiko during Skin Addiction’s Black Friday and I am first getting a chance to show it. With its warm tones, beautiful brows and fantastic eye makeup, it’s a gorgeous skin for fantasy or for a peaceful walk in the woods.

Silent Night—KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 24

Silent night, Holy night
All is calm, all is bright

(December 24, 1818: Father Joseph Mohr first performed his song Silent Night 196 years ago today. Nearly a century later, in 1914, German soldiers on the Western Front sang the song from the trenches and were joined by their British opponents.)

It’s the final day of the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, and I have to be honest, I am relieved. There were so many beautiful gifts given and I wanted to honor each one in my blog entries, but I am exhausted. Well add to this that I made 13 different kinds of cookies and 4 dozen sweet rolls for Christmas. And bought all the gifts and wrapped them, trimmed the tree, and managed to fit a manicure and pedicure in there.

The final gift of the season is, of course, a KittyCat, and this one is absolutely gorgeous with snowflakes across a midnight blue fur and a snowflake collar. Callie leant me a full grown KittyCat for posing but I couldn’t help but grab my own kitten and birth him. Rodwell sits nicely on my shoulder and in my hand.

I took my kittens to Serene Footman’s gorgeous sim and donned one of Kiddo Oh’s special holiday dresses, the Kafkaesque in white. I think this would be a fabulous wedding dress as well as a formal for the holidays. My gorgeous shoes are new ones from Senzati0n Domenitzo, and will be shown again as I love the styling. The shoes and dress fit perfectly over the Belleza mesh body (I did get the Maitreya but opted to wear this body for less hassle as I rushed to get this blog entry done).

I have used Umazuma Metaluna’s new applier for the body, and it works wonderfully across the whole body, including hands and feet. The match to the system skin is almost perfect. And my skin is one of her lovely skins at the Arcade, which is still open and great for grabbing gifts as all is no copy. Pack your gacha extras in boxes and give them to friends! My updo is one of Mirja Mill’s wonderful new formal looks, this one having her great animation for having it up as I show or down in a ponytail with one click. I love that option! Pretty earrings from Kouralee finish the look.

I hope you, my dear readers, all have a wonderful holiday time, no matter what your beliefs. This darkest of nights in the Northern hemisphere and longest of days in the Southern is a wonderful time to enjoy our families and friends and to indulge the wonderful gifts our lives give us. Angel Unaware—KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 23

The holidays remind me of the angels who tiptoe into my SL and make it better. Start with Multimuse, who answered my early morning call for help finding wings. Add in Barely, who can throw down like no one else and take it like a man. There’s Z, who taught me windlight so many years ago and still teaches me some new trick with SL every day. And John, who tells me what esoteric dish he is making for dinner so I can rush to find the recipe. Janey, in Skin Addiction, once said something nice to me. Stephen logs on to hear me whine and still likes me. I could go on and on about my many angels (chief among them Callie). I hope you remember your angels this year and thank them for blessing your life. And in SL, if you speak to a “stranger,” try to treat them with kindness because they are someone’s angel too.

This year for the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, we had a bunch of angels, all of them giving beautiful gifts via the calendar. Today’s gift is no exception, a custom-colored gown from Mami Jewell. Mami has colored this beautiful and dramatic piece a lovely coral (though the windlight I used kind of obscures the color). The dress includes the amazing headdress and the barbed wire decorations and the amazing mesh bodice. And it’s a GIFT! A full Azul dress!

I wanted a beautiful skin to suit this look and I didn’t have to look very far with the gorgeous skins from Shyla Diggs’ work at Uber on my list. Shyla made this run of skins absolutely gorgeous with dramatic but useable makeups, colorways that will look fabulous with many different outfits. And as always, you get Shyla’s gorgeous brows, nose, lips and blushing face. My dramatic hair is Mina Nakamura’s featured work for Kustom9, a wild and fantastic hair, perfect for photos like this. With a great texture-change HUD, you get several color options, including a series of ombres. My wings from Selos Dae come in four colors, all of them beautifully textured and in four iterations for your wearing pleasure. They add the final perfect touch to this angel.

I dressed up my look with another gift from Zuri Lyric and Poulet Koenkamp, a gorgeous jewelry set that includes texture change for the gems and metal. I loved playing with the color combos and found a perfect set of gems for this look, and that translated to the earrings and bracelet automatically. My shoes were Eku Zhong’s offering for the 21Shoe, which is over now but I know Eku will bring out these shapes in other colors, so get over there to grab them.

I love this new loose curl ‘do from Sabina Gully. It has an old-fashioned glamour to it and her characteristic loose locks and swirls of hair. Her HUD has a range from blonde to dark so you can switch it up as you like. My skin is one of Sawsan Secretspy’s lovely, soft sexy looks with a beautiful makeup and luscious lips. I wore it this time with her applier on the Belleza body. It’s a great match and a perfect skin for this sexy, elegant look.

I swear I am going to keep it a warm December. One way is wear sweaters and other warm clothes. I put together this cute ensemble with some new things that have come out to make my December sexy and warm. Start from the top with the great KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar gift, a set of scarves from AvaGardner Kungler in three colorways for great accessorizing. Ava gave us a pink and then a black and brown (for men too!) so you can switch it up and be warm.

I matched to the scarf Moonbubble Gothly’s darling mesh sweater, which comes in several colors, and is perfect for the FROST event. I paired it with jeans from the Mustang Sally outfit that GraceHaddington recently put on her floor. With a great washed look and fit, these jeans will work with boots! And these boots were essential—not only for getting through Froukje Hoorenbeek’s prim snow but also because Carmella Ruby made them so cute. She includes a script to remove or show the sock. I just dig the low profile and the great texture she uses.

Shylah Honey has just put out one of my favorite hairs she has ever made at N21. With the waves that turn about on themselves. It’s the ultimate in wavy, windblown hair, sexier than heck, and awesome with their great texture-change HUD. This is a *must have.* My beautiful soft skin is one I picked up weeks ago during the Skin Addiction Black Friday from June Salmson. The face is exquisite with a beauty and softness that highlights my pretty eyes from Constance Daehlie. How can a girl not keep warm with such goodness?

The Christmas Candle—KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 21

The glow of a candle is the warmest sight on a cold dark winter night. Here in the Northern hemisphere, we are coming on our longest night, so a warm light is doubly welcome. I have fun these beautiful holiday lanterns from Winter Thorn to shed light on the beautiful gift that Monica Outlander is giving in the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar. With a mesh bodice that includes materials (hence the light reflecting off) and a great flexi prim skirt, it’s a piece of Miamai couture you can get as the gift for today!

My beautiful illuminated face is Umazuma Metaluna’s lovely gift to her group members. The skin includes teeth, which you can vaguely see behind the lips I added. I never like myself with teeth so I used one of her lipstick tattoos. The eyes are absolutely fabulous and she generously offers it with freckles and, as I show, without. I have one of Mirja Mills’ just-released up-dos she made for MVW, a gorgeous french braided number, just in time for the holidays. And Poulet Koenkamp crafted this spectactular hair piece and earrings for the holidays, which dresses up my look just perfectly, creating a sparkle in the evening darkness.

No series of blog posts about the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar is complete without an invasion by the KittyCatS themselves. Two new breed lines have been released recently—Rainy Day Dreams with little patridges and pears in the antlers and sELFies, Santa’s little troublemaking helpers. They are plopped all over a great piece of furniture that Debil Skute made for the KittyCats & Friends Advent Calendar, Day 8, which includes several great custom poses for men and women. (You don’t need KittyCatS to enjoy the furniture, by the way.)

A green mesh jumpsuit from Cynthia Ultsch is casual wear at its sexiest. All in one piece, the outfit fits and bends amazingly well and comes in curvy as well as regular sizes so if you carry a little extra, you have room to move. Great winter boots from Senzati0n Domenitzo keep my feet warm.

The featured item today is a wonderful necklace made from scratch by Bastchild Lotus. Bast makes jewelry in real life so she brings a sensibility about what looks good and what is possible to her SL jewelry, and this great unisex necklace is no exception. If you look very closely, you can see a beautiful celtic heart finding, a gem, a kitty charm and of course the main piece. The beads are exquisitely textured, all on a resizable leather cord. This piece was made uniquely as a gift for the KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar so make sure you get your copy.

Truth Hawks recently ended his half off sale (waaah) but has come out with new hair (yay). This windblown style comes with our without a great pompom hat with all his gorgeous hair color textures. I am still infatuated with Syane Cisse’s pretty peachy skin, which I wear here without makeup. Love the delicate way she shows highlights.

Kimmera Madison passed me her KittyCatS & Friends Advent Calendar gift a couple weeks ago with a smile—or perhaps it was a smirk—on her face. I opened the gift and carefully composed my face. A colorfully decorated sweater and green polka dotted blouse—how… delightful! This reminded me of so many holidays when my well-meaning but crazy aunt came to the celebration with an ostentatiously-decorated sweater, kittens and gifts knitted into the panels. It was the kind of sweater that could only be worn at this time of the year and only among loved ones where the humiliation would not be too great. Kimmera clearly worked hard on this—she made sure each button was a different color and even the back panel had gifts knitted in. Yep.

So when I had to pull this gem out to blog it, I needed a bit of liquid confidence. Conveniently, Cherelle Capra has made this decorative ensemble for the Black Dot event, a bar that issues white or red wine, a darling “tree” of ornaments and cute wall hanging. I served myself a glass of wine… or two… or three (really I have forgotten), and put the sweater on, donned the included knit cap with kitten ears (of course) and holly earrings, and pulled on Missqwerty Pevensey’s cute skin-tight jeans (hoping the cute butt would add the tiniest amount of sexy to this look). Senzati0n Domenitzo’s great little ankle boots add a pop of color.

Sawsan Secretspy has come out with a new golden skin tone that I have rather fallen in love with and the beautiful makeup is my saving grace for this ensemble as I can look at my face and kind of ignore those floppy ears on top of the cap. Chiaki Xue has generously sent out her holiday gift, this short hair that is conveniently modifiable so I can tuck stray wisps into the cap.
